Anyways guys... To cheer myself up (and the missus) from my post Christmas blues... I bought myself a present... I've been looking for a statement clock for a while now for the front room... And wanted something that made an impact... So I went searching and found this... www.anniemos.com/products/emmerdale-large-wood-and-metal-round-clock-100cmIt was delivered today... Put it up above the fireplace... And it looks amazing... I need to go back to Specsavers and get my prescription looked at. I thought it said cock, the link does mention large wood. the picture of Robert and you saying it looks amazing only added to my confusion.

Not sure how accurate this article is as it is Duncan Lindsay from The Metro:-
Emmerdale overtakes Coronation in the overnight ratings:-
"Manpreet’s life was in serious danger, the culmination of Manpreet Sharma’s (Rebecca Sarker) hostage situation at the hands of Meena Jutla (Paige Sandhu) has helped Emmerdale to achieve high viewing figures – allowing it to overtake Coronation Street.
Coronation Street is generally the highest rated soap but overnights from the week which saw Meena kidnap Manpreet and Vinny Ashdale (Bradley Johnson) and subject them to a terrifying ordeal saw success for the show.
Emmerdale averaged 4.5 million viewers although Corrie wasn’t far behind with some episodes just being pipped by Emmerdale.
However, second entries in the Weatherfield saga saw a drop into the 3 million territory.
Full ratings for w/c 10th January (Overnights)
Emmerdale
10th: 4.32m 11th: 4.49m 12th: 4.50m 13th: 4.75m 14th: 4.58m
Coronation Street
10th: 4.21m / 3.46m 12th: 4.58m / 3.95m 14th: 4.52m"
Of course this could all change in the consolidated 28 day ratings.

Even so, on mainstream TV it is nice to see Corrie toppled from its perch by Emmerdale.

New shake up of ITV schedules are starting... Emmerdale will now start at 7.30pm every night to accommodate an extended news programme... And on Monday, Wednesday's and Fridays Corrie will be on at 8pm for an hour each time... Eliminating the two half hour episodes...

To make more way for news. Channel 5 has done the same, got rid of Home And Away's 5:30pm slot to make way for an hour of news.
So an hour of misery and mayhem - aka the news.

It's all for the propaganda that's coming our way... Now Covid is dying off... They need to keep us being afraid... Watch for the next big scare mongering tactic...

I'll genuinely be looking for something now. ITN says it's going to be featuring more news from outside of London. But an hour? Don't think I can be arsed with that TBH.

We can get our News online. They are trying to attack the BBC and I think their news is far superior IMO. Forcing rivalry against EE so it will be interesting to see how this plays out.

Interesting re ITV News, i was not expecting this, a bold move by ITV and one that deserves praise, will it work? Moving EE to 7 would not be a good move for BBC One. If I were the BBC i would leave the schedules as it is, with the news at 6, regional news and the one show.
Currently BBC One wins the slots from 6-7 and with the changes at ITV News i doubt this will alter, infact if the BBC leave the One show at 7 they should win the slots from 6-7-30 quite comfortably. The jewel in the BBC crown is regional news at 6:30. It makes sense to leave the One Show at 7 following Regional News a little like Nationwide did in the 70's and early 80's. The One Show is very much a BBC One style show.
BBC One
For example Monday Mon
6pm News at 6 6.30 Regional News 7pm The One Show 7:30 EastEnders 8.00 Sewing Bee 9.00 Drama 10.00 News at 10
The last time ITV was so bold was when they moved their version of Match of the Day premiership football to a 7pm slot on a Saturday and look how that turned out.
Soaps are a slowly dying genre. If I were the BBC I would schedule popular hour programming in the 8pm slots against CS like they do on a Wednesday with Repair Shop and also have Sewing Bee, MasterChef, Dragons Den and The Apprentice, Antiques Roadshow in these slots. This could dent CS.
One things for sure EE is going to be a headache for the BBC now. It is worth sacrificing EE at 7:30 and see how it performs, this could be good for BBC One opening up the rest of the evening providing a neat uniformed schedule, not seen since the days of Michael Grade as channel controller.
For ITV CS having an hour show is better than splitting this, often the 8:30 showing has a lower rating.
Interesting times.

Louisa Jameson is joining Emmerdale to play moany Rhona’s Mum. Hard to say what she’s ‘best known’ for, suppose it depends on your age; Leela in Doctor Who Susan the Estate Agent in Bergerac Rosa di Marco in Eastenders Eleanor Glasson in Doc Martin She has also been in original Emmerdale Farm too, as Sharon Crossthwaite. Way back in 1973, cousin of Annie Sugden, murdered by Jim Latimer. metro.co.uk/2022/01/29/emmerdale-former-eastenders-star-louise-jameson-joins-cast-16011366/

I remember her best as Rosa DiMarco, with the wisp of white hair among the auburn hair.

I quite like Louise so glad to hear it. The older generation needs boosting on ED. I remember her on all those programmes

I clicked on that link and after a bit of digging found a few more letters of complaint... Here's a sample... Dear Sun
I'm outraged and feel violated that such a monster should still be walking free after all these years. Have the police not got any obligations to go and arrest this pervert straight away? They obviously let him get off scot-free all those years ago with lack of evidence, But surely now with all this DNA evidence and the fact that it's just been shown on ITV2 they should arrest him immediately.
Anyway I would write more but I have to be up early in the morning. It's double maths and the teacher is well buff.
Obviously Outraged, OswestryHere's another I found... Dear Sun,
Just like your previous reader I too am disgusted at what I've just seen on ITV 2. Can they not give any warnings before during and after the programme? So people like me don't get upset.
It's an utter disgrace that not only did they show this 21 years ago, But they have the audacity to show it again before my bedtime. Someone is at fault here and heads should roll.
Angry and Upset, Uttoxeter And one last one for now... Dear Sun,
Thanks for letting ITV2 show the very graphic rape scene on Classic Emmerdale this week. I was shocked when I saw it as that was my mum. And if they hadn't let Cain rape her then I wouldn't have been born. I'm now scarred for life because I'm living with a bloke who killed her by hitting her with a tram. I've also got a leg missing and that must be Cain's fault also.
Disgusted and Legless, Weatherfield

Cain is the Jimmy Savile of Emmerdale. He is the Bill Roache of Emmerdale, as he has slept with underage girls.
