So guys... Songs bring back so many memories... Some good and some bad...
So on here post a song but on the condition that you give a reason as to what it reminds you of... Be as honest and open as you possibly can be... As that is more interesting to nosey bastards like me and Uncle Quentin...

So I'll kick it off...
This song reminds me of around 1992... I'd just got dumped and I was so upset... I decided to run off to sea... I applied for a job as a maintenance joiner for the cruise ships at P&O... The week the letter arrived inviting me for an interview... Was the week I met my future wife... Gutted doesn't come close... So now and then I console myself with this choonio...

Here's another one from me which sums up my life at the moment but I have always loved it and want it played at my funeral.

This song reminds me of a stag do in Blackpool... A hot summers day... We walked into this bar and a guy was belting this out on Karaoke... He was good and I thought... How do you follow that...?
Then this fat bird got up and done the birdie song... Yeah... This was Blackpool guys...

This always reminds me of being a kid and playing over at the disused brickworks near my home. We made a rope swing across the brook, but I was always too chicken to go over there.

And this song reminds me of the one and only time a fairground was installed for a few weeks over at the disused brick works after the chimney stacks were dynamited out of existence.

This song always reminds me of when and our Ange used to blackberry picking 'up the line' when we were kids. We used to make a day of it.... We used to take buckets, a large stick, and a small transistor radio with us, and pick blackberries for both our Nans. Here is where we used to pick `em. There were blackberries on both sides as far as the eye could see. We used to call it the line because decades earlier there used to be tram lines. Now it`s a major part of Cwmbran Drive linking Pontypool to Newport.

Ricky got me remembering another classic Fleetwood Mac song. This always reminds me of spending summer holidays at my Nans caravan at the Gower coast. And 1975 was a glorious year for wonderful summer weather. In 1975 and 1976 we had back to back heatwaves. I was 11 years old and remember having a wonderful tan. Everytime I hear this song it always reminds me of the Gower coast more than any other song from that era. Me and my Dad used to get up early and go and pick cockles. I hated cockles, but my Dad loved `em. And it got me out of having to help my Mother and Grandmother to cook breakfast. Fast forward to 2017, and I still play it on my mp3 player. And it will be n my playlist when I pick them next month. And as soon as that song has finished, Awake, Asleep by Fyfe Dangerfield comes on after it. I can almost smell the honeysuckle and blackberries whenever I hear it.
