MG, I'm sure nobody really hates Amelia as they don't know her. Nobody really hates ant actor or actress they haven't met no.matter how old they are. But they may well dislike the character she plays, her appearing so much, or even children appearing.in anything other thana "seen and not heard" capacity in soaps at all. I know you don't, you really like them but many don't. Doesn't mean they dislike children.in real life though again, some people don't love them, choose not to have their own or spend time with other people's. This forum is known for being quite flippant so you will get flippant responses to a thread like this. They don't mean anything against you though. I understand. If you were producer would you have April not be a brat and be nicer ike Arthur? Did you think Belle was a brat as a child?

As I've said before with both Simon Barlow and Tiffany Butcher, the problem is that a certain cheekiness or precautiosness which can be quite cute or endearing in a 4 or 5 year old becomes naughty and annoying when they are 8 or 9 and frankly old enough to know better. However, because these characters come on at that age and many viewers liled them coming put with cheeky, adult comments, the writers have kept doing it, even increasing it so it's become grating.

Emmerdale did the same with Belle when they recast her in 2005 with Eden Taylor Draper they gave Belle cute lines to say at 7, 8, 9 ect and they had Belle know adult stuff. Since you would make April less of a brat would you have her appear in episodes and not give her cute lines make her likeable. Would you use all the kids equally so have them all appear in a few episodes a month.

There is nothing "cute" about a child trying to speak like an adult...

I wish the writers would make her less 'in your face'. Amelia is a smashing little actress for someone her age - way better than Jazz Hands, and miles better than Noah Faulteroy. Amelia is a natural actress, that`s why I dislike it that the writers have taken her in a bratty direction. She wasn`t bratty when she first arrived.

I don't see cute... I see annoying little brat...
Is that last one John Stape...? I'm very confused now...
Amelia Flanagan is probably not a brat just because April is it doesn't mean Amelia Flanagan is a brat.

Would you still have April appear in episodes of Emmerdale a few times a month and have her not speak like an adult until she is old enough to so like at 14. I think if Marlon and April are still in Emmerdale in 6 years when Amelia Flanagan is in Year 11 they should have April reblling against her dad and then maybe going missing or maybe she could start talking to someone online and gets kidnapped.

Amelia Flanagan is probably not a brat just because April is it doesn't mean Amelia Flanagan is a brat. You can see it in the photo... Look at her face... She is pinching poor Leo to make him do that facial expression...
Brat...

You don't hate Amelia Flangan really you don't evn know her and just because the writers and produer and director have April be a brat in Emmerdale it doesn't mean you should hate a 9 year old actress which I doubt you do you are just saying it to wind me up.

I'm not saying that April is insufferable, but it's probably no coincidence that Donna was bloody quick leaping off of that building the way she did.
Thanks.

I use to like her when Donna died, but for some reason they decided she should become a 40 year old in a nine year olds body.
Something most of the characters in the show also now point out, the show is playing this for jokes and in the process taking us for mugs!
It's time to revolt!
#Not my April!
