None of those for me. It has to be Line Of Duty.

I've gone with a different one to the list, I have always liked Gene Hunt so I'm gonna say life on mars and ashes to ashes, even though I guess it counts as fantasy to.

There are a pile of brilliant UK drama's I love far more than those on the poll: Linda La Plante wrote some excellent stuff and Prime Suspect was genius imo. Cracker by Jimmy McGovern Juliet Bravo and The Bill were big in their day too For me I think Prime Suspect and Cracker are two of my favourite ever TV programmes never mind just crime drama.

Even though it was filmed in Manchester... I've never ever seen an episode of Cracker... I should be ashamed...
Same with Scott & Bailey...

Cracker or Morse I'd say are the most iconic.
That image of Robbie Coltrane puffing the ciggy in Cracker is iconic alone.

I think Midsomer Murders belongs near the top of the list of iconic crime dramas, if not iconic TV shows.
Many, many famous people have been in MM, plus the show has been referred to whenever a murder takes place or 2 murders close together in real life as well as a TV show. A couple of murders took place in Great Yarmouth and people said "it is getting like Midsomer".
