Alfonso did exactly the same thing last year...
As for Saffron... I see her other Grannie was in the audience last night... But she didn't make a big fuss over her... She mustn't be in the shiny new teeth club...

Kelvin's scores are slipping... He needs to pull his socks up... And remember who taught him to dance in the first place...
Really starting to like Karim... I think we maybe looking at the winner there guys...
Alex and big fat Eva in the bottom two for me...

What ever happens Kelvin will make the final, nothing so certain. The problem for Kelvin is, he started on top, so the only way for him is to maintain the standard or slightly slip, where as everybody else can climb. I don't watch the show, however I do record it just to watch Mr Sugden for obvious reasons and skim though the dross. It is old hat now. Who would have thought somebody built like a brick s**t house could move like that. I hope Kel wins. He seems genuine, not big headed, has a real talent and nice.

Dear me David could not Jive to save his life lol! It was dreadful. Not bothered that he's gone. I know Mike's dance was a tribute to Alfonso but bloody hell, I've forgotten what the actual dance was he was supposed to be doing (Samba or Salsa?) but it bore little relation to it. Yes he can go next week, I agree. Once again I thought there was some over-marking and under-marking. LOVED Alex this week. Wow she can Charleston! *Said through gritted teeth* I liked Saffron's dance too but the big difference was it was DANCED TO PROPER MUSIC!!! Imagine Anton and Emma's Paso Doble with proper, dramatic Paso music and not Miley Cyrus? The music makes a huge difference and can really make the dance come alive giving it the right feel. As pleasing as her dance was, it's pissed me off no end that she, the You Tube STAR, got the good music. Grrrrr. (MrL reckons she might have been told by producers to say she was a 'Star', nope, not buying it). OK who was in tears at Will's story? If you weren't moved you've got a swinging brick for a heart Dear me, born with that unpronounceable physical condition then getting lymph cancer at 7? Crikey. I'm not a fan of contemporary dance but watching him doing all that with his disabilities was heartening, he's doing great and I love the way Jeanette plays to his strengths. I'm glad they didn't go mad with their scores though and marked it realistically but the judges were definitely moved and it could be inspiring to sick kids watching. Shameless sob story for votes though I love watching Kelvin and Karim. Kelvin's a big unit of a man, he shouldn't be able to move like that! But both of them pull great performances every week and if we don't have another surprise exit I reckon they'll both be in the final. But anything can happen on this show.

I'm not even going to give a hint over who left tonight. It was a bit surprising though.
Why do they have the really good dancers wearing such awful costumes and makeup at Halloween week? It completely puts you of the dance. I'm talking Kamil here. What was with that affro? The boy can dance.

Kamil was supposed to be channelling Dustin from Stranger Things... A really really good series on Netflix... All about a different dimension called the Upside Down World... Loosely based on the US Military's Montauk Project in the 1980's... Which supposedly all started with the Philadelphia Experiment in World War 2... www.thrillist.com/entertainment/nation/stranger-things-true-story-montauk-project-philadelphia-experimentI'm up to Series 2 of 3 but just not got any spare time after coming back from holiday to devote to it... It's got some cracking 80's music weaved into it... And the sets etc are really realistic of the time... But back to SCD... I'm hoping that it is Catherine Tyldesley tonight... I'd laugh my bollox off... Especially with Fish Face and the Wonkey Eyed Prozzie in the audience...

Just watched it... Absolutely lovleh... Laughing my cock off... I actually felt sorry for her, not because I particularly like her but she was a better dancer than Mike who is a bit of a joker in the pack. My heart went out to Johannes who was broken by the decision. Strange call by Shirley though who is into the mechanics of the dance.

I was very surprised that Shirley went with Craig and saved Mike! What was she on? Was she told to by the producers as they think Mike is entertaining and want him to stay or was he genuinely her choice? She sometimes gets a lot of flack on the DS Strictly forum and usually I think they're being OTT but this time she deserves it! Bizarre decision.
Mike seems like a nice enough fella who is trying hard but he's so stompy it's painful to watch at times. That and the sticky out arse. Ultimately Catherine didn't get the public vote this week and the ChaChaCha just wasn't her dance (terrible legs). So if she did a good/decent dance people would vote but they wouldn't just vote for her because they liked her personality. I wonder why? Does she wind others up like she does our Charley? Do people think she's disingenuous or something?
Problem for me was that Johannes is a brilliant dancer and most pro dancers tend to tone down their dancing when with a celeb to make the celeb look good but sometimes I think he forgot to do this (or if that was toning it down .... wow) and it showed up Catherine's obvious lack of polish, precision and ability (when it came to the CCC) because she's not a pro. Something for him to remember if he has a partner next year perhaps?

Back to Halloween week: My stand out performance was Michelle and Gio. A strange couple as I sometimes wonder if they even like each other but one thing's for sure, they work well together and make a good partnership on the dance floor. They were brilliant and looked just like Morticia and Gomez! This was always going to be a winner with me as I loved the Addams family as a kid but it exceeded my expectations as the whole dance, music and styling were superb. Bravo. Karim. I get the theme was Stranger Things but I love the Paso and for me he was fantastic but once again, and this is a recurring theme with me, THE FECKIN' MUSIC WAS ALL SHADES OF WRONG! He did a fantastic dance, everything was spot on but the effect was lost due to unsuitable music and wardrobe. I felt so sorry for him as I reckon if he'd done the same dance with Paso music and costume he'd have swept the rest off the floor (Michelle and Gio honourable exceptions). Music can be a real bug bear for me - as you can probably tell I'm not against all modern music being used at all but sometimes a dance just suits and looks better with traditional IMO. Geordie Chris. I like him and not just because he's local. He's a nice lad who genuinely makes me laugh, his faces when waiting for the results are a picture! I have a feeling he's putting it on now but it still amuses me. He's not the best dancer by far though and I think it's his personality that's keeping him in but at the same time I enjoy watching him. I think that Posh Emma W gets over-marked and Emma B (EE) gets under-marked every week - not fair. And I loathe with a passion the way Emma W is announced as Viscountess every week. Grrrrr. Viva Revolution! Can't remember much more about anyone else.
