Here's one I've only just found out I was getting wrong. Bryan Ferry's 'Let's Stick Together' Instead of ' You know we made a vow not to leave one another never..'I've been singing 'You know we made a vow to give one another pleasure ..'I think my line's better. Maybe I should become a song writer

What song lyrics have you been happily singing for years only to find out you've a made a complete fool of yourself as you have them wrong One of mine is really embarrassing but I'll share Instead of '3 Lions on a shirt . . .' I used to sing along with '3 Lines on a shirt . . .' I could never work out what the 3 lines were. Oh the shame when my friend pointed out my mistake but his was worse in my view. He insisted the line was 'Its full of peppery goodness . . ' instead of 'It's full of Cadbury goodness . . ' in the fudge advert Anyway what are your Lyrical errors ? Full of peppery goodness ? A chocolate fudge filled with pepper ?

Our Mo mentioned lines in a song. Well I`m embarassed to admit it but I will The song "White Lines (Don`t Do It) by Grandmaster Funk and Melley Mell I thought was about driving along the road while drunk. Especially where it said "Ticket to ride, white line highway. Tell all your friends they can go my way " It was many years later that I realised it was about cocaine.

And the one by The Clash. Golden Brown - about another forbidden substance.
And Ebenezer Good by that strange lot whose name I cannot remember either - another drug referenced song

I always knew or assumed it was about heroin redface4 However I actually learned eventually that it was about a girl free-indifferent-smileys-697 So who knows. We need a new thread about songs hidden meanings

Having heard Wet Wet Wet's Love Is All Around on the radio earlier, it reminded me that when I was little and ever so slightly more immature than I am now, I used to like singing the first line as 'I feel it in my thingies' smiley-biglaugh . I still can't hear the song without sniggering .

When 'Mull of Kintyre' first came out, I used to sing "I`m bollocking tired of this song the worst in the world" To my dismay it made number 1. And even now if I happen to hear it, I still sing my lyrics.

I`m so embarrassed. I`ve always liked the song that is an intro into a talk radio hosts show. I knew it was by Florida/Georgia Line but thought it was "This is how we move" I even typed them into Youtube last night. Then I saw the actual song title was "This is how we roll" I still found myself singing "This is how we move" hearing it though. I`m sure in time I`ll eventually sing the right words though.

The song in the new Fiat ad sounds like "Lets Marvin Gaye and get it on, you got the healing that I want".

Not misheard lyrics this time, but misheard artist. There's been a rather nice song played quite often on radio 2 for a few weeks now called 'No Way'. When it came up as a question in this week's Popmaster, I learnt that the singer is Gilbert O Sullivan and not Gilbert And Sullivan as I have been thinking redface4 ......

Blame it on the Boogie, instead of we spent the night in Frisco at every kinda disco, I've spend decades singing we spent the night in Bristol. In my defence, I've never met a Bristolian who doesn't though. It's our line
