I always loved the characters of Pippa and Bobby in the early days. I was forced to stop watching when 5 bought it off ITV as Scotland didn't have 5 at the time so I just gave it up.

Yes I loved the relationship two. I loved Alison Downing and Tom and Pippa were also great together. Tom and Pippa Bobby, now and then

In recent years the show has become so unrecognisable. It is a crime show now.

I did enjoy Neighbours, but Home & Away was my fave in its infancy. Today in 2016 its the other way around. What a shame what has happened to Home & Away. I won`t give up on it yet though.

Should have called Summer Bay an indigenous name like Warrayonga. Swap the W and y round it spells Yarrawonga, a real place in Victoria. Warrayonga sounds nice.

The early years episodes from H&A that I`m watching now are so exciting. The episodes are from October 1995, and Dodge has just come back to plot revenge on Steven. What a vile character Dodge was - a great villain though. I absolutely loathe Jack Wilson. I can`t wait to see the back of him.

It's quite common to play with words to create a fictional place. Killybassangel was amended to create Ballykissangel. Walford is an amalgamation of Watford and Walthamstow. A notable exception is Brookside which is the name Phil Redmond wanted to use, he was not amused when the housing company who were building the houses decided to call the development Brookside! Sometimes the name works so well it feels more genuine than than the real name, for example Aidensfield sounds better than Goathland to me!

Emmerdale Farm (which the village of Beckindale was named after the plane crash) is named after Ammerdale I think. Also there is an Ennerdale.
Surprised there was no real life village called Beckindale in the Dales as it means the beck in the dale.

Callum Finnegan from Brookside and Donald Fisher must be brothers.
