I am not yet ready to buy into this theory that Gavin Sullivan is her real dad.
Kathy met Gavin in South Africa in 2000 and it would be a huge coincidence, even for EastEnders if the man she met 7000 miles away from her birthplace was also from the same part of London and the real father to her deceased best friend Angie Watt's adoptive daughter.
That is like me going to America and meeting a girl there who is from my village and the half sibling of my old school friend.
I am hoping Sharon's real dad is someone like Ted Hills, or even Dalton or even Arthur Fowler, imagine that, Shazza and Michelle the best friends were actually half siblings.
I would stop watching if DTC had it so that Stan Carter was her father.

I would have liked Gordon and his can of lager to be her real father. I thought there was a definite family likeness there.

I wish it had been Pete Beale now, that was a good potential storyline.

Such a pity as I thought that there could have been a really good story-line there. Instead we are going to see Sharon outwit Phil for the umpteenth time.

It would have been a great idea if he had been just an ordinary bloke with nothing special about him. He has never murdered anyone, never raped anyone, not been to prison, isn't bisexual, isn't a crazed, psycho gangster. Those things, as we all know, are not acceptable in soapland.

So instead we have Mr? who lives in a £squillion big house in Notting Hill and we don't get to know who he is. I know if it was me I would be knocking at that door with my begging cup in hand.

Did anyone else think Phil's sob story about him not wanting Sharon to leave him because she's got a rich dad was a cover because he doesn't want her to find out her dad is Kathy's husband?

Possibly but still not 100% sure he will be. If Cathy's husband is so rich why has Phil been giving her money?

I would instantly be knocking on the door if I had a relative in Notting Hill. In real life, seeing as Phil is quite rich he would have moved out to somewhere like that or leafy Essex or Surrey.
I was hoping Sharon would knock on the door and the man that answered was Ted Hills.

Gavin was a bit of a jack the lad, always causing trouble he departed Walford and found himself living in South Africa. He got back in touch with his old friend Ted and offered him a job. When Kathy turned up in SA, she fell for Gavin and married him. Now quite how he managed to turn back up in Notting Hill is a mystery. But if he is abusive, Kathy may need money to get away from him.

Good intriguing theory -the plot thickens! I can't help but feel that Kathy was watching Sharon from the window last week from the expensive Notting Hill house.

I wonder if we find that Gavin Sullivan is related to Dan Sullivan, fancy that, Shaz is the niece or cousin of Dan Sullivan.
