I haven't even watched tonight's episode. I am the same as Lotty, no longer angry but feel let down, I know its only a soap, but when you have watched it since 1985, you feel cheated. Anyway enough of that, I am sure I will find something else to watch or do for 2 hours a week. smiley-yikes

Nothing would surprise me with DTC and that show. We might get Pat coming back from the grave, along with a few others. A Shame really, but as a former viewer he can ruin the show and do what ever he likes and hopefully fingers crossed with a bit of pressure from the Nasty Party, EE will be gone before the end of this parliament.

I posted a similar comment on WW, but deleted afterwards it as I thought it might cause offence to some of the young devotees and the fan club of dear old dominic. I suppose I should not wish a show to be cancelled just because I am so let down by it and no longer watch, as millions still tune in for what ever reason, so I do take that back.

Well me and you holey are EE veterans, we were watching the show before many of the DTC devotees and sycophants were born. If it wasn't for Wikipedia, they would not have a clue who Arthur Fowler, Joe Wicks, Ted Hills, Mandy Salter or Pete Beale were, I remember all 5 of them when they were in the show in the 1990s years ago, shows how long I have watched. Seems like yesterday Arthur Fowler was around.
Many teens who watch the show now, if you mentioned Arthur Fowler to them they would say "Who the eff was Arthur Fowler when he was at home"?

I hope you don't stop watching Eastenders. Do you remember how good Eastenders was in 2014 and January, February and July were this year? I think we should give Dom a chance in 2016 to redeem himself. I think its Alex who should leave not Dom. Didn't Coronation Street do a retcon with Mike Baldwin?

Hate is a strong word Mormon Girl. Hanging him up by his Goolies would be a good punishment, although would you class that as punishment? No it's too late for me Mormon Girl, I would prefer to watch the potters wheel at 7.30, or that nice girl on the test card, than watch either Coronation Street or EastEnders. Mind you I am not sure the Corrie audience would even be able to tell the difference.

Great post CorrieandEmmerdalefan. Very true. Most of them were not even a fetus in 1985.

That BLT bloke should bring back Reg Cox... And just start again... I could just eat a Marks and Sparks BLT with Tom sauce Charley.

Us longer term viewers know it is a deliberate retcon yet the DTC devotees will go to astronomical lengths to try and deny it. But it wont wash, not with us lot who were watching before the year 2000.
