Karen has become a bit of a redundant character in the past year or so. She has sadly as I always quite liked her being skint and down on her luck because there are folk just like her out there. More these days! As Lotty says where does that leave the remainder of her family? I like Mitch who is played by a good actor and they have turned Bernie into the local gossip since they put her in the Cafe. We also have to remember that she also has the twins currently living with their father. She never talks about them these days. Then there's Bailey who isn't hers and Mac & Mia. I think we are all right in assuming that Keanu won't be around much longer.

I think Karen was axed as well. So not Lorraine Stanley's choice to leave.

Are we thinking prison or death for Karen?

If she does die, she can still return at a later date.

I wonder if she's being killed off? A heart-attack/stroke as she's not the most healthy of characters added to all the stress she's been under for a long time could be a recipe for disaster? Perhaps if Keanu does die that also kills his mum off, losing two kids is just too much?
I know I'm reaching here but that would be a way of getting rid of her without sacrificing the rest of the Taylor/Baker clan whilst simultaneously giving them grieving storylines and perhaps them falling apart as a family without her there to anchor them?

If that's so I'd love to know why she was fired considering what some other cast members have got up to and just been suspended. Personally I think that she's just come to the end of her contract, they're not renewing and she's obviously upset about it. Losing a regular wage (and the exposure that comes with it) in a precarious industry when she's not getting any younger must be hard, especially if you've enjoyed working there.

Jessie Wallace and Steve McFadden seem to be bombproof yet Leslie Grantham got axed in 2004 during his 2nd stint, and Den was the original star of the show in the 1980s.

It all sounds quite strange to me given that he said at the NTA's that he loved it at EE. Was he trying to call the shots for getting time off for the below plus I believe he also has a pantomime gig over the festive period. I see that he has announced a limited tour - Conley's The 3rd Farewell Tour…To Date will kick off on September 24 at The Cresset in Peterborough, hitting eight stops in total before concluding on March 16, 2024 at Coventry's Albany Theatre. More stops are also set to be announced, with tickets on sale now.

That's a shame as I like Rocky and didn't expect to. I take it EE haven't been very flexible to either his panto, tour or both? You'd think they could fit a working schedule around 8 dates in 6 months though surely? But maybe they thought he was taking the piss after them bending already so he could do panto?
Was his profile high before EE or has EE boosted it a la Danny Dyer? I mean, could he sell out a tour pre-EE? Never really liked him previously so don't know.
I wonder if he'll just disappear off screen, not even a black cab? Kathy will just wake up one day to find him gone?

So the big news today is that Jacqueline Jossa will be back on our screens in the New Year as Lauren. I suppose it was on the cards after seeing her again in France but she was never a favourite character of mine.

No I was not overly keen either Wallis, I suppose with Peter back in the square I can sort of see why, the only family she has is Jack.
