Patsy Palmer has slipped back into the character of Bianca with ease, a more mature Bianca but it's still her. And she still gets on my nerves! Although I liked her scenes with Bernie, she was very kind to her. Not so great with Zack whose (before she found out he cheated) emotions and feelings she dismissed as Whitney is the all important one Perhaps before she castigated Zack for stressing Whitney she should have had a word with Whitney herself because Britney and her problems are her stressors not Zack. That quite frankly dull kid is coming before everything, including her unborn baby. Sort THAT out Bianca. But of course when she said she knew he'd cheated (on Nancy) he thought she meant him and Lauren and now the brown stuff will really hit the fan. Cue a return of the screaming banshee Bianca? *puts earplugs in* Can't wait for Nadine to get found out. I think there'll be some interesting scenes to come between Billy and his dad.

Excellent scenes with Jean and Yolande in the Laundrette, happy memories of Dot and Pauline. Stevie was very good, making an impact. Did he really not know Jamie was dead? I wonder what he wants? It will all ends in tears for Whitney and Britney.

The only good thing about Bianca's return is that it's speeding up Whitney's leaving which was dragging. It just had to be Reiss who spilled the beans though. I really liked Yolande and Jean in the launderette. That's 2 people who have Yolande's back so she should take some comfort for that but trying to force a baptism on Jordan is just not on. That is a decision purely for his parent. Stevie is old school EE but what does he really want?

Phil is so laughable with his threats nowadays such as "Sling yer hook" to Stevie Mitchell.

Yeah what does Stevie want? He's been away from the family for so long he didn't even know that Jamie was dead?! Why come back now all these years later? Is he dying? I'm enjoying him, he's old school EE, but I've got my eye on him. I hope Billy isn't forced by Honey and others into having a relationship with Stevie. Billy is entitled to feel how he does and not have a relationship with someone who caused him pain, father or not. He doesn't have to forgive. Or he can forgive but still not want him in his life. But I'm not holding my breath that his needs/wants will be respected ... Agreed that the Yolande and Jean scenes were lovely. Delighted that Whitney's duplicity has come back to bite her on the backside. I have no doubts that her heart is in the right place but you can't 'buy' kids in this country. And as per usual Bianca backs her up to the hilt, Whitney can do no wrong

What age is Stevie meant to be. You don't find too many great great grandfathers wandering around the square. Lexi is 12 this year. Give it another 4 years or so she could potentially have a child of her own. Would Stevie still be around to be a great great great grandfather

Billy was born in May 1959 so is 65 this month. Not sure if Charlie was Billy's older or younger brother but I say Stevie Mitchell is about 87. The actor is 86 this year I think. My estimate is he was born c1935/1936, if 1935 he'd be 89 this year.

I was way off the mark with who Olivia was? Not Emma. Bit of a let down, although the ending was very good. Stevie is excellent and a good addition to the square. I liked the opening and his interaction with Denise. I think perv Clayton will have bitten more of than he can chew if he tries it on with Chelsea.

What a great closing line, 'You can't kid a kidder' whilst pushing Nadine's belly and top up with his stick. It was the aghast faces of the Mitchells that made me laugh too. Stevie ain't as stupid as he has been making out but I still want to know what he is doing in Walford. Whatever it is I hope he is around for a good stretch. Decent scene between Zack and Keely however it has brought Britney back to our screens. I think I read somewhere that Whitney is around for the remainder of this month which is a month too long for me. Chelsea's relented just to keep Yolande happy and of course the thought of presents galore.

Loved that final scene, Nadine really thought that she'd managed to shut up Stevie only for him to expose her publicly with his stick!
Is that it for Nadine then? Was she just brought back as one of the ways for Stevie to wangle his way back into Billy's good books? Not that I'm bothered about her but I'm really enjoying Stevie. It must be frustrating for Billy though to have everyone saying that Stevie seems like a lovely old man when he knows the other side of him.
I take it that everyone kept quiet about the 2K exchanged between Britney's mother and Whitney then? The social might not have been so quick to give her back if they knew.
From what we've seen surely Chelsea isn't the pastor's type? His targets seem to be older, pious Christian women who he likes to 'defile' and who he's fairly sure will be too humiliated and embarrassed to report him?

I am liking Stevie more by the episode, I hope he does not have any interior motive and does want to get back with Billy and the family. So we had a Eurovision plug by the Beeb, Olly Alexander a bit cringy but it was ok. My heart broke again for Yolande. {Spoiler} We have a two hander next week with Patrick and Yolande where everything comes out. I hope Patrick gives the pervy Pastor a good hiding!

I just love Stevie, he's a great addition contrary to Billy & Phil's feelings on the matter. 'In my day a girl would want a white wine rather than a white line'. The writing for him is top notch. I think he has won Jay over.
Creepy scene between Yolande and Pastor Creepy walking between the railings tonight. Please tell someone else about what he did so that action can finally be taken against him.
I didn't mind Olly Alexander's cameo scene. At least he didn't sing the god awful number. I believe his Mum is an EE fan as is he so I kind of get it. EE is notorious of backing Eurovision these days.
So Whitney has proposed to Zack. That ain't going to end well with Bianca at the helm.

Got round to watching last night and my abiding thought is that I hope Stevie is on the level, I hope he really does regret how he's lived his life and doesn't turn out to be a baddie because I really like him.
He doesn't sound bad as Phil's dad (violent criminal etc) but rather selfish. And I hate to say it but they were different times with different expectations of single-fathers e.g. Ken on Corrie, when he was widowed his twins were sent to Scotland with relatives, he wasn't expected to bring them up by himself. And it wasn't right, different expectations of mothers and fathers, but it sometimes happened. Anyway, I enjoyed all of his scenes in this episode but he was especially good with Jay.
I know he put Billy into care but I'd like to hear more from him and Phil as to why they hate them so much? He made a point of saying he wasn't like the rest, was he the black sheep?
No excuses Nadine, what she did was borderline evil to a lad who's already been through so much. She did a good job of almost making you feel sorry for her though, is that the last we'll see of her?
I don't want Patrick to attack the Pastor as he might give himself another stroke but they have Denzel with his ever increasing muscles so hopefully he'll get his fists on the bastard. Still trying to dominate Yolande on the square *spits* I hate him.
The Olly Alexander scenes were a bit clunky but OK - wonder who else Johnny knows?!
Bianca's sour faces to Zack are making me laugh, she could curdle milk. I really hope that Zack's not being sacrificed to Whitney's leaving storyline as he can survive quite nicely without her. But where's Sharon? He needs his family and she's nowhere to be seen.

Denise calling Reiss Goldilocks was funny. Pervy Pastor Clayton is evil convincing Patrick Yolande has dementia. A lovely moment tonight when Will hugged Janet. A good Duff Duff setting up nicely for Angela Wynter and Rudolph Walker for tomorrow night, which by all accounts is going to be a cracker.
