I did smile at Eve and Billy. Also Bernie was funny in the Caf with the Tea. Nichola McAuliffe superb again tonight a great Duff Duff. Sadly I think Brenda might be Reiss next victim. Impressive EastEnders can get top talent for the Cameo roles.

Lol, Alfie thinks he can control Tommy, not going to happen.
Brenda is such a snob asking for Darjeeling tea or whatever in an East End caff. She didn't have a great relationship with Debbie and it's little wonder. Was she telling the truth that Debbie had plans to leave Reiss and if so was he aware of this. Just thinking that maybe Reiss did something to put her in the coma as nothing seems past him at the moment.

Yes that came to my mind too, was Debbie's 'accident' in the bath actually an accident? The way he's reconciled with himself killing her it does make you wonder if he reconciled trying to drown her because she was thinking of leaving him? But yes it must be remembered that it sounds like Debbie and her mum had a bit of a fractious relationship and she could be lying as she doesn't like Reiss. Either way though, the arrival of Debbie's parents has put a rocket up this storyline.
I thought the cafe had a decent supply of tea bags considering it's a tradtional east end caff. Darjeeling FGS. Well seen that these are monied people when she has no idea that a caff like this wouldn't stock it, probably the first time she's ever stepped in one.
And once again Reiss has been lying by omission by not telling Sonia that Debbie's parents have been donating money every month. FGS sake, just get rid of him Sonia. Even without knowing he's a killer he's waving more red flags than a Chinese parade.
Tommy will have out-witted and out-manoevured Aflie about 5 minutes after Kat has gone out of the door.
Priya hasn't even taken 5 minutes to have Martin wrapped around her finger!

Loved Sonia facing off everyone in the Vic. Kim made me smile when she asked Sonia what she had got on her. I do like Priya, the Nugget and Denzel scenes were decent.

I did laugh when Sonia was calling out all the punters in the Vic's misdemeanors and Kim piped up 'Do me'. Sonia's never been a saint herself over the years. Nish now knows that Vinny has been playing him.

Nish now knows that Vinny has been playing him. What has Sonia done apart from this Reiss business thats so bad. I know she stole the charity money for the operation in Bulgaria and stole money from Dot to pay Martin's blackmailer over the hit and run. And the assault on Sharon when she pushed her into the water. But apart from these everyday things she's never actually murdered anyone, has she? There was that elderly patient in Kettering who died and left Sonia a lot of money in her will though?

Wednesday: I agree Kim was very funny and seemed to think it was a roast ('do me!' ) which I suppose it was lol! But Sonia can say what she likes, people are going to talk about them and she'll just have to get used to it. So now Nish knows what Suki and Vinnie are up to. If he survives being held captive by Priya, what will he do next? Tommy is such a little shit, I hate him now. Wish someone would smack him right in the mush.

I was shocked Sonia took the ring. Nice scenes with Lauren and Sonia in the Vic. I am getting bored with Reiss now. A lacklustre episode to end the week, nothing to draw you back on Monday.

It wasn't a great episode at all. It must be that Summer lull in drama.
Imagine Reiss giving Sonia Debbie's engagement ring. I would have thrown it back in his face.
Tommy is evil and going to get worse I'm sure.
Nish sets Avani a task with £ benefits to find an old acquaintance of his and Suki's. Now I wonder who that could be.
Chelsea needs to find a backbone. Penny has just lost her her job and now Gray is trying to sell the house. Felix and Bernie need to pressurize her to take legal action against it.

Didn't Reiss mumble summat about it being his granny's ring before it was Debbie's? Still, I wouldn't want it, probably wouldn't even wear it as a dress ring never mind engagement ring. Sonia's desperation to make everything he does seem normal is quite astonishing.
Wasn't Chelsea married to Gray? Hasn't she been paying the mortgage since? If so she's got rights! So yes, I agree, find your spine Chelsea. I wouldn't be surprised if TPTB want Teddy and family to move into the best house on the square to wind Phil up and that's why they've got Chelsea behaving in such a defeatest manner.
Priya really doesn't help herself does she? Now she's lost her job too and her kids still aren't talking to her.
Nish has got other plans for Vinnie - I bet he has after what he heard!

Soaps do like to stereotype loners and introverts like Reiss as secret conmen or killers, when I know plenty of annoyingly loud people who have had sinister sides underneath and they hate it when they do not get what they want, and hold grudges. As the saying goes "a wolf in sheep's clothing". I knew a guy once who was bubbly but a bit unhinged underneath, he often reacted with his right fist or threatened people he had a dispute with.

Totally agree and in a way I'm a bit annoyed that they've done this to Reiss. He was just an awkward, meek and bumbling character like we have in the real world and it was quite refreshing to have someone like this on EE, an odd-ball everyman trying to navigate his way around a mostly hostile world. But then they turned him into a thief, then escalated to a murderer. Just couldn't help themselves and like you say often it's the ones hiding behind a confident, friendly demeanor who are the worst.

Take the Mitchell brothers, when they first arrived in 1990 they were cheery and flirty but this gradually faded and they became more thuggish and miserable as time wore on.

Junior and Cindy are getting on my wick, What was the point in bringing Michelle Collins back? Also getting fed up of drunk Linda now. The good bit was Ayesha. Laila Rouass very good. A clever Duff duff with Nish and Eve. As boring and bad as EastEnders was still the best soap of the night out of the big 3. We are in a summer lull, plus the fact it is on BBC 2.

Definitely a Summer lull. I will be glad when we get back to BBC1 next week and hopefully more drama. The sooner Nish goes the better. He is doing my box in yet again. Will Suki be tempted though? Reiss has blabbed to Eve so the engagement won't be a secret for very long. The man's a fool!
