Yeah it’s hard to remember Cindy is 6 years younger than Michelle. And as we know, Arthur Fowler was a staggering 13 years younger than the actor, hence why he looked so much older. An actor born 1930 playing a character born 1943. BTW it is 19th August 2024 today, so would be Arthur's posthumous 81st birthday today. To think a character born 1943 played by someone who just missed out on being born in the 1920s by 5 months. Although Bill would have been ahem "made" in autumn 1929.

Very mediocre episode. I'm sure Maya is fleecing Harvey. What's Teddy up to taking over the debt with Reiss? Rumour has it he is potentially a loan shark hence why Harry was beaten up. It's the engagement party coming up when no doubt there will be an arrest or two in full view of the punters in the Vic.

Yes that crossed my mind tonight watching him with Reiss, I thought there was a slight air of malice in his oh so agreeable offers for Reiss to pay him back, pay by instalments etc even though on surface level he was being more than reasonable. He comes across as very nice but I bet he can turn on a sixpence. I'm glad they had Sharon alluding to how much Sonia's changed. Harvey's flogging himself to death to pay Maya money and neglecting Jean in the process. Fool. Cindy's got a case of the green-eyed monster. Ha! Another fool. Hope Ian chucks her out on her arse when he finds out but I won't hold my breath ...

Chelsea and Felix sunbathing on the steps did make me chuckle, since when has it been hot? what is Teddy's up to. I think you might be right Wallis re a loan shark. Natalie Cassidy very good tonight, a decent duff duff even though we could see it coming.

We had a good week about 3 weeks ago and the odd day here and there. Teddy's deffo a loan shark. He works with people so he says. Well I think that's probably how he sees himself with Harry being his muscles. Thank God that pathetic pair have been arrested. Sonia is going to be the main suspect after visiting Debbie without signing in. I believe Natalie Cassidy is now on a break from filming.

It's like a dull Autumn day here today, grim. Defo no heat wave here lol! How satisfying was that ending though? That it happened at their engagement party makes it even sweeeter I wonder if this will shake Sonia out of whatever Reiss induced trance she's in? If she does get the blame it's really hard to feel sorry for her as she's ignored so many red flags, lie after lie after lie all shrugged off and I reckon he's going to stitch her up like a kipper and protect himself. I liked the scene of Chelsea walking through the empty house but it's infuriating that she's not fighting for a share of the proceeds considering she is/was married to Gray, has his child and has been paying the mortgage. I get that they wanted Teddy in the 'big' house to bring him onto the square and (perhaps) wind Phil up who'll now know he's loaded but FGS stop having Chelsea just lying down and taking this unfairness.

Reiss is getting on my nerves now. Natalie Cassidy was excellent tonight, I did smile at Elaine stirring the pot. I did like the Phil and Martin scenes. However a mediocre episode again. Little to draw you in, Clenshaw needs to get his act together.

There are a number of plot holes in the murder storyline. Sonia's visit to the Care Home was earlier in the day and Debbie was killed in the evening. Reiss left his mobile in Peggy's overnight and collected it the next day from lost property. Surely these points will feature in the truth coming out.

Wake up Sonia! Reiss had a chance to confess last night but kept schtum. He's so going to throw her under a bus but hopefully, eventually, the info in Walls post above puts him firmly in the frame. My mind's going overboard with Teddy now wondering just how dodgy he is. I was wondering if that jumper he seems to have surgically attached to his shoulders is there as a quick weapon? Strangle someone with a sleeve? I think I'm overthinking this ... He's very keen to keep the peace but might find it hard with that knuckle-head oldest son. Good for Martin stirring Phil into action. She did save Ben's life with a biro once after all, he owes her.

The Teddy and Chelsea scenes were good. Will getting 8s and 9s in his GCSE's ? as Kimberley would say, "Do me a Favour." Natalie Cassidy was excellent. A fairly decent episode to end a lack lustre week.

So who is the 'you know who' that Harry was referring to when speaking to Teddy? Chrissie perhaps?
Sonia's off to the clink and Reiss is going to try and get her out. Is he having a laugh?
Remind me not to go to one of Teddy's parties.

Is that the last we'll see of Sonia for a while then? Sadly I still didn't feel sorry for her, she's been an idiot when it comes to Reiss and even when Jack was tentatively trying to talk about Reiss's failings she was still sticking up for him. Hopefully being parted from him will remove those scales from her eyes.
Nice of Ted to do that but surely as a woman struggling now the 30K would have been better off in her bank account? Now I see why they didn't have Chelsea fighting for what she was due, they wanted Ted to white knight her. He seriously wants to be liked and it's making me side-eye him.
Nice to hear normal talk about exam results, the other soaps haven't gone there.
So Jean's chucked Harvey, at least for now. Who will he have now? He's already lost his two mates and now his partner and home (unless he's staying at the Slaters?) Maya got her revenge after all.

A very good opening scene, EastEnders at it's best. The Fox scenes were very good with Denise, Kim and Chelsea. A nice mention of Martin killing Jamie, love how EastEnders remembers it's history.
Cindy and Junior getting on my nerves. On a superficial level loved Jack's arms, Scott has still got it. The ending was okay, other soaps like Emmerdale and Hollyoaks would have nailed it, but for EastEnders not known for its stunts did an okay job. Although I have been crushed worse on the tube in rush hour.
I am looking forward to tomorrow. EastEnders soap of the night! A decent Kirkwood script. He is a much better script writer than producer.
