I enjoyed that episode. I didn't get what Sharon and Chrissie now have in common until it was pointed out - they both had men who they loved try to kill them. They both struggled with the person who saved them (Chrissie directly and you could tell Sharon was having a hard time with Linda at first too, she even ran away).
I don't know if I'm giving Chrissie too much credit here (I probably am!) but I think she might have been OK with Sharon if she hadn't condescendingly said 'I forgive you' as Chrissie was leaving. WTF? After their almost conciliatory and confiding conversation about men/violence from men they loved that was tone deaf. Chrissie wasn't looking for forgiveness for killing a man that would've killed her, especially not from Sharon, daddy's princess. Now she's really pissed the top dog off.
So Elaine is finally in the now rather large loop of people who know Linda killed Keanu. About time! She reacted as I'd imagined she would. She's in shock and while this might be old news to Linda, and even johnny, it's brand new to her and she has to get her head around it.
In her shock she lashed out at Kojo's presence in her home. I don't actually blame her too much for that as George never consulted her about moving him in but it was in Koji's hearing and made her look bad. Like George says he's had to put up with her piss-head daughter and picking up the flack. And now Kojo's gone missing which George is bound to blame Elaine for. It's not Elaine's week!
Did anyone else think that Linda is perhaps asking a bit too much from her ageing mum taking on her two youngest when they've got adult siblings? And when it comes to 'support' from Elaine I couldn't help thinking that she supported her young teenage daughter continually getting pregnant and put a roof over her, their and Mick's head (letting them save up a whopping amount of money to buy the Vic) without sounding like she gave them a lot of grief for it!

A game of two halves, the scenes with Junior, Kojo and George and the scenes with Linda and Elaine were the best bits, the less said about the prison scenes the better, a shame after Mondays promising start.

You have taken the words right out my mouth regarding the episode Holey. The prison scenes were abysmal especially the fight.

Not much to add really. An episode of two halves indeed. The prison has descended into a farce, could that 'fight' have been any more choreographed?! I'm sure me laughing me tits off wasn't quite the reaction they were looking for! And how come Sharon's the one who looks like she's been in choaky for 19 years and Chrissie looks as fresh as a daisy who's just left the expensive, exclusive daisy salon?! On the other hand the other half of the episode was good! Elaine righting her wrongs, more nice Kojo, George and Junior scenes.

Excellent scenes with Kojo and George again. I did laugh at Chrissie to Sharon “Oh, I’m not making you a cup of tea.” Slightly better prison scenes tonight with Sharon and Chrissie. I do like how Eastenders remembers it's history.
Again the prison scenes are not gelling sadly and still quite poor. They seem flat and underwhelming. Let's hope tomorrow is better with a good cliff hanger duff duff.

Will Sharon shop Chrissie to the prison governor, I very much doubt it. I reckon she will let her get on that plane that she always wanted to do.
I couldn't care less about Anna and her lust for Freddie. We all know how this going to end for poor Bobby.

Yeah too much Anna/Freddie stuff last night. Gina is a much better character and actress IMO and she's wasted on a storyline trying to get her sister with him. Aside from the affect on Bobby I just don't care.
Is that the last we'll see of Chrissie now then or is she going to end up on the square being a thorn in Sharon's side for a bit? Their scenes have been good for the trip down memory lane but the less said about the prison itself the better!

So endeth Chrissie's return. I did enjoy seeing her again but the prison scenes were a bit naff to say the least. Mind you I did like Doreen. Bringing back Jake Moon was obviously part of the returning past characters that we are getting between now and the 40th in February. Pity Alfie missed him by hair's breadth. Nice mention of Ruby and her baby in readiness for her return.
I couldn't give a toss about Anna being pregnant. We all know what is going to happen and it will lead to Bobby leaving which is a total shame as the good actor that he is has been sidelined for far too long.

Would Jake have waited 19 years for Chrissie, glad she got her happy ending and I agree Wallis I did smile when Alfie missed bumping into him. I did laugh at Elaine's reaction when seeing Chrissie. Not the best of weeks, lets hope we get back on track next week.

Even with EastEnders not at it's best this week, I do like how they remember their history and get their facts right.

Well if nothing else I've enjoyed this week for the trip down memory lane and seeing Chrissie and Sharon make their peace. And she got her happy ending with a man who waited 19 years for her! (I'm sure he hasn't been a monk in that time though ...). We even had a (very convenient) link to Ruby. Their scenes were good (as was Sharon's protective cellmate) but the quicker I forget about that fight scene the better. Jake Moon was a nice surprise too, I used to like him and am glad he's still alive. I certainly wouldn't be adverse to having these two popping up again but I don't think they will. I have no interest in the dopey Anna, her pregnancy or who's the father but I think it's going to be shoved down our throats. It was jarring cutting from the excellent Sharon and Chrissie scenes (both well acted, even Sharon, with their screenpresence) then cutting the the great drip and badly acted Anna whose whole personality seems to be orangey lipstick. I feel that Denise is being a tad judgemental with Chelsea considering everything she's been involved in and got up to since Christmas! I have no doubt though that Chelsea will end up confessing sooner rather than later. So that's the excitement over, what's in store next week. More Anna?

She is no actress for sure. My big toe could do so much better.

She's only in there for a week, but has got herself a job and instant prison visits I know it's only a soap but please give us credit for having some intelligence. It will not happen in real life.

I thought last week was bad, Gosh that was hard going and very tedious tonight. The Freddie, Bobby and Anna storyline is not helping. Not the best of starts to the week. The only good bit was the scene with Sharon and Elaine.
