There's one for every other soap so why not.
Since we all have freeview now I'm going to say that if it has aired on E4 then it is fine to discuss without spoilers. If anybody does first watch on Ch4 then say and we can amend it.

So, to start.
Patrick is an intelligent, precise, man who needs to be in control. Are we really to believe that he hasn't had a life insurance policy or will until now? Or has he just changed the beneficiaries of his existing policy?
Assuming it is a new one, not declaring how his father died is the least of his worries. Most insurance companies will want a copy of the death certificate before paying out. The moment they see MND they will want to check his medical records to know when he was diagnosed. If it was before he took out the life insurance policy (which it was) and he didn't declare it (which he can't have or his father's cause of death wouldn't matter) then the claim will be deemed fraudulent and they won't pay out. Surely he knows that?
I guess rose being missing has just been forgotten for this week then?

Why are they acting as though Mercedes hasn't already had an abortion so fully knows what is involved and possible regrets. Fair enough, Lindsay might not know about it but Mercy could just tell her.

I am enjoying the scenes between Parry Glasspool and Kieron Richardson. I also think Nick Pickard is such an underrated actor and deserves more credit. He is the Adam Woodyatt of Hollyoaks.

I always thought Hollyoaks was for the viewers who buy inside soap and the Sunday sport and are little bit lacking in certain quarters. But hey if it stops the young un's plotting to blow up things and shoving things up every orifice then it is probably worth while to keep it on Channel Bore.

What's wrong with 'Inside Soap'? I think it is a good read, have bought it ever since it started in the early 90s. Plus, a friend of mine is the Deputy Editor so....
I enjoy hollyoaks and am in my mid 40s so i don't know what that says about me. It can be very annoying with rushed storylines and Ste 'hugging people gay' is getting ridiculous now but when it is good it is very, very good. I'm more interested in the gloved Hand Killer, Patrick's MND, Pete's abuse of the various McQueen women and Cameron's relationship with Celine and his family than i am anything in the other Soaps currently.

There is nothing wrong with Inside Soap, it is a good read while you are on the lav.
As for Hollyoaks I am glad you have set the bar so high. smileys-applause-431206

There is nothing wrong with Hollyoaks, it is a lot better than Corrie at present and they had a great anniversary week. And for the record I buy Inside soap.

Just caught up with the omnibus of Hollyoaks from last week (trying to fill the gap now I don't bother with the big 2 EE & CS ) what a great week. Zoe Lucker is just amazing. What a great signing for the show. Hollyoaks isn't perfect far from it, but it doesn't get the praise it should.

Poor Ste, Cameron is a sneaky sod. Nobody is going to believe Ste?

Okay, his specific instance Ste is taking the fall when innocent but.....
He has been given chance fter chance and constantly not only cocks up but throws other people's good will, help, love in their faces that my sympathy is muted.
Yes camerpn is being an arse, clearly being played as a panto villain now and probably be gone within in a few months - which i find a shame as although he had clearly done very, very wrong, I thought Cameron was quite multi layered and sympathetic until this retcon / reveal that he intentionally killed Sam and Danny and everything that followed - and shouldn't have planted them in Rose's bag. But who was he going to think they belonged to when he found them hidden in the lounge - where Peri could have found them.

Good point KK. I agree, they have turned Cameron into a Panto villain. But Ste is doing the decent thing protecting his Sis.

Yes, as said, Ste is in the right this time and being treated badly. But I still find it hard to care!
I can't help wondering why tey"'ve done this with Cameron. For all the recent PR is claiming he was always intended to be a bad lad, he was clearly portrayed as having killed Sam and Danny by accident at the time and feeling very, very guilty about it. Hence him confessing what had happened to Leela when under the influence of the magic mushrooms and accepting that he deserved to go back to Prison last Summer. Plus, whilst he was understandly resentful at having spent half his life in Prison for a worse crime than he'd actually committed and was somewhat obsessive about Leela and Peri I think you could sympathise a little (what else was he going to think about for 14 years?) and he seemed to develop some perspective after Leela dumped him. He was a half decent bloke, looking after Porsche, saving tegan's life, supporting peri over the pregnancy rather than going ape ++++, setting up an honest business. Now he's just a controlling ++++ who seems to get off on other people's pain!
LIke I say, it's a real shame as i found Cameron as portrayed in his first 18 months quite interesting and likeable. Also, i admit to quite fancying him as well and now theyk?e just given him a short shelf life.
