Not sure if Sarah ever knows about Ian once being thought to be her father. It was confirmed to be Brian but if Ian was the father, Brian would still be related to Sarah as he was Ian's cousin. Bert Tilsley's sister was Ian's mother.

Just read the the Rovers is due to open on New Year’s Eve says Ian McBollox but through a criminal act. Oh Jenny, don’t do it, please. Quote //Coronation Street's producer Iain MacLeod previously teased that the reopening of the Rovers Return will centre around a mysterious criminal act. MacLeod told Digital Spy and other media last month: "[The Rovers is] not going to stay closed for that long. In fact, it reopens on New Year's Eve, but the interesting thing is that the circumstances of it becoming open again are all tied up with Stephen's legacy. Somebody will do something that is at best, naughty, at worst, slightly criminal to get their hands on the keys to the pub and reopen it. So it will reopen, but the reopening of it will be based on this slightly shaky foundation of a criminal act."// unquote

Supposing someone, anyone wanted to buy it would they honestly have bought it and moved in by New Year’s Eve? More cloud cuckoo land storylines .

It's a bit more than slightly, it's outright criminal! There's no slightly about it. Theft and fraud. If it was faceless money who we didn't know who it was stolen from it would be bad enough but it belongs to local employer and could have had a huge knock on effect of the factory closing and people losing their jobs - if Carla hadn't conveniently managed to secure a huge new contract that is Like that makes a difference?

Slighty criminal is akin to saying a woman is slightly pregnant!

If MacBollox stays for another 8 years, god help us, he will have been producer as long as Podders was from 1976 to 1989.

Yes. It seems Stephen managed to jot down in his journal Gail and Audrey’s concerns from 1986/1987 which is amazing as he didn’t even exist as a character before 1988 and the photo of him Audrey had didn’t resemble Todd until 1996!! Even if Stephen knew, why the heck did he even care enough back then to write it down in a diary, especially as he had no relationship with Gail and they wouldn't meet until 1996? I doubt anyone feels the need to keep a journal of other people's dramas, especially those they haven't met.

Alex Bain has quit his role as Simon Barlow after 15 years and will depart around the summer.
It is quite a feat for a child actor to grow up in the role and remain in it so long. Most of the time they are given multiple recasts. I guess he will get a recast when Simon returns in a few years.

We shall see Alex Bain in 5 years time in Casualty as a disgruntled patient, or Villain No 2 in Hollyoaks.

Always been a silly casting as Simon looks mixed race. He may be a throwback though.

Simon will likely come back with a new face in 2-3 years time. And probably the streets new serial killer.
