I wish that someone from Corrie was on this Forum, or any Forum, to read these comments then maybe they could report back and give us what we, the viewers, want not what they think we want. I doubt it would make much difference to be honest. Their official Facebook page gets complaints pointing out how much utter drivel it is, yet ITV still think they are doing well and try to encourage fans to vote for them in the awards. I will be surprised and shocked if they honestly win an award this year, they have been terrible. The only good things I can see is David, Tim and Sally and the Barlows. If these was not on screen the show would be in serious trouble, I do think it is these who really pull the show up from the dirt.

Please not Tim and Sally. They are two big kids. Silly tandem story tonight.

They will probably get an award for the Michelle losing the baby storyline.

Taking away the makeup doesn't make it worthy of an award.

Taking away the makeup doesn't make it worthy of an award. This might be a bit controversial of me but I think this was written for the way Kym Marsh reacted and not necessarily the way Michelle would react. They've obviously consulted Kym every step of the way (and so they should) but some of the behaviour exhibited by Michelle has been a bit too extreme/vicious even for her IMO. I can well imagine Kym being totally wrapped up in her own grief to that extent (plus the venom aimed at Steve a lot of the time) but not necessarily Michelle. Of course everyone reacts differently, when I lost my daughter at 32 weeks I didn't react like Michelle but please understand that's not a criticism, just that we're all different and that's OK. It's just that in my heart-of-hearts I think this was written with Kym herself in mind rather than the character, if that makes sense? I can't fault Kym's acting up until she had the baby, her heart-rending cry when she didn't want to give that final push as she knew her baby would probably die was heartbreaking but I haven't liked her behaviour lately (I actually liked Liz reminding her that it wasn't the first time for Steve and she'd been through it herself, Michelle seemed think that if you aren't reacting like HER you're not bothered!), but at the same time it's interesting to see that kind of grief which is all encompassing and nearly pushes someone over the edge. It doesn't mean they're grieving more than anyone else, just differently. And I've rambled again redface4

Also forgot about Phelan, he did win Villain of the year last year, so maybe he might win this year. Especially as there are no real villain in the soaps atm, who are doing what he is doing.

Len was obnoxious and was played by a kid fiddler. I don't like how you condemn a man you don't even know. Apart from a scuffle we had back in 1962 when I called him a beer swilling moron resulting in my lights being punched out I still think he was a decent man. It was thanks to his position as a Councillor and being in high places that I was able to get off with my prowling and crimes over the years. Nowadays you have to watch your step as someone is out to get you.
