You are all loving this. Am I missing something? I am rather bored with it. Me too. I've abandoned it.

Oh dear, I fear I'm not going to like it then. I plan to give it a whirl though, I think I have 4 eps recorded now.
I taped "Whatever Happened To Baby Jane" last night, with these two old bags in it. My old mam said it was a classic.

Well I was wrong and Wav was right.
I watched this over three nights last week and really enjoyed it.
From about ten minutes into episode one I was hooked, and the episodes simply flew past - always a good barometer I find, as opposed to looking at the clock.
Thought the final episode was a bit sad, despite all their bravado, they were in effect just two vulnerable ladies who'd been chewed up and spat out by the relentless Hollywood machine.
A healthy 7/10 from me, and a most pleasant surprise.

Just finished watching this excellent series tonight, thoroughly enjoyed it. I found it gripping and the time flew by. Can't fault the performances from the leading ladies (I still shock myself when I remember that Sarandon was 70 when she filmed it!)
Such a shame that they were manipulated into being hostile with each other on Baby Jane, things could have been so different.

Yes, Susan Sarandon is fantastic for her age - although I'm surprised she wasn't gravely ill filming this, having to smoke in every single scene!! Jessica Lange was a ridiculously beautiful woman when she was younger, even fifteen years ago she was still a 50-something stunner - but she looks dead weird now, especially around the mouth. Why these extremely attractive ladies do this will forever remain a mystery to me. Back to the show, I loved the lady who played Joan's faithful assistant Marmite, wasn't she great?!

Spoilers alert!
She was fab wasn't she? Mama Sita or something? I could never pick up what her name was and forgot to look at the credits. But yes she was a force on the programme too, I knew she'd come back when she'd walked out.
I liked the way it was put together, with the people getting interviewed in 1978 and it all done in flashback. Such a shame what happened to Joan how she died so lonely and ignored by Hollywood.
Also didn't realise that Olivia de Havilland had stabbed Joan in the back like that, mind you Joan was being a very naughty girl holding up the production like that lol!
I thought the final scene was excellent the way it had them laughing and knitting together on the first few days of the filming of Baby Jane and them saying that they hoped they'd found a new friend in each other. Just showed how it could have been rather than how it turned out.
