I am not a huge film fan, but when I got her wikipedia page up I was shocked at how many of her films I have seen, and enjoyed listed below. She truly is a gem and am looking forward to seeing her in the remake of Murder on the Orient Express with Branagh as Hercule Poirot which I hope to see soon and Tulip Fever I also want to see, made this year is a period piece. I have seen her in A Room with a View Golden Eye Tomorrow Never Dies Mrs Brown The World is not Enough Chocolat The Shipping News Iris Die Another Day Mrs Henderson Presents Notes on a Scandal The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel Philomena The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel I shock myself with how many of her films I have seen. She truly is one of the best. Wonderful woman. smileys-applause-431206 praising-the-lord-smiley-emoticon

I see Judi Dench a lot behind the cafe counter gossiping away in Emmerdale. *hides behind HoleyD*

Have any of you seen Tracey Ullman's take on her in her Friday night show? It's a howler!

A legend in her own lifetime. I liked her in the sitcoms also "A Fine Romance" and "As time goes by"
She did a film with another Dame her friend Maggie Smith, called "Ladies of Lavender" which was very good. Judy did gain a new fan-base when she did the bond films.

She always strikes me as being someone I'd get on well with in real life, I think she's down to earth but extremely batty with it.

There was a 'Play For Today' episode in the late 70`s called 'On Giant Shoulders' where Judi Dench played a married woman who wanted to adopt a young black thalidomide boy. Judi was magnificent in this show. It was very moving. You could tell she really loved Terry. The show won rave reviews....and rightly so. Would love to watch all the Play For Today shows again on DVD. There were some real corkers.

Wow I can`t believe I found it on YouTube. Watching it now for the first time since I was 14 years old in 1978. It`s so humbling.
