I don't know what to expect TBH. It's such a shame that we have had to wait so long that the momentum has waned.

I'm not inspired I must say.
It's very much like Broadchurch they say. We'll we've had Broadchurch, which in itself was derivative of Twin Peaks, we don't need another copy. Plus, I was fed up of Kat and Alfie anyway.
But, I'll watch

Driving about earlier I heard an interview on Radio 2 with Jessie Wallace and Shane Richie. I'd forgotten how much Kat's voice is like nails down a blackboard at time to me I'll be watching tomorrow, but like Walls says the momentum has been lost a bit so I'm not nearly as interested as I was last year.

Surprisingly I really liked it.
Kat and alfie are much more subdued but for me that's a good thing. I always thought that Richie especially is much stronger on the drama than comedy stuff but there is still dark humour there.
More importantly, it's not all about them and I was genuinely interested to see where it went next. I saw the ending a couple of minutes before it happened but it was still a jaw dropper.
Liked the writing, acting, style, direction.
Odd timeline though. The son is meant to be 33, which fits established continuity for it to be set present day. But the caption indicated 2015?
Won't say any more as people need to watch.

I thought it fine but like KK I sussed that it had to be the priest who was the son.
Don't get why he killed Lance though or his aversion to orange juice.

Well he is clearly a psycho since he let his Mum drown when he was a child and yes, nobody reacts like that to the milkman getting their order wrong.
I wonder if they're are going down the route of his mental problems being down yo genetics - ie result of incest.

I went off it after episode 2, its just more sensationalist tripe from DTC, hyped to the limits and beyond. I also cannot believe that Kat and Alfie dress WORSE now they have money than when they were skint!

I'm still watching and it is quite good as a stand alone story but I have to agree about Kat and Alfie's clothes. It's like they bought them at the local Spanish Charity Shop.

I have got into this now, a good cast and an interesting storyline. Not sure how it will all end. Is Alfie going to die? Don't read the next bit if you don't want to know! {Spoiler} I read this and it may not be true, but they say their is a twist and Dermot is not Kat's son but it is Andrew after all? Sounds very DTC.

I read that too Holey and it was who Kat originally thought it would be. It will be shown in Ireland tomorrow night and I hope no one spoils it for us before Thursday.

I've binge watched this this weekend and I've quite enjoyed it. The scenery is gorgeous, I'm enjoying the intrigue and Kat being the catalyst for all the village's secrets to come tumbling out.
I also like the way that Kat and Alfie have been toned down, they're more subtle and not nearly as loud as they used to be and I think that's realistic, they're going there as outsiders with a huge secret which could unsettle poeple's lives so would be more cautious and not as loud and relaxed as they would normally be.
Seeing Kat without a face full of slap was quite a shock and took some getting used to but TBH I haven't minded Kat's clothes nearly so much (probably because I hated the way she dressed before) and I'm liking her hair, sort of Ibiza hippy chic! Alfie looks a bit odd to me though, I don't like his hair or clothes but I like HIM in this and am glad we saw more of him this week.
Dermott is a one isn't he? I was wondering if the actor had really done his homework though because when he's angry he kind of growls his words out (sometimes loudly sometimes not) and it's a bit reminiscent of Michael Elphick when he played Uncle Harry to me.
Roll on next week.
