Yes that was really sad. Amy’s final scene was actually filmed using an unknown Melanie Brown in a darkened room with most of the camera work on Andy. Brown having played a non speaking Bettabuy employee in other scenes previously.

It was a bit mean of Amy to dump Andy for her ex, Errol, who was the father of her son Dominic. She made out she wanted Andy to go back to uni and felt she would hold him back if he married her.

On Facebook someone said that Samir could easily have passed as Simon Barlow's father if he had still been around when Simon was born, and they got accused of racism by another member.

Christmas 1996. Bill and Percy talking about Elaine (Bill’s estranged wife, Percy’s niece).
Must be really weird talking about a character who isn’t going to be on screen again because the actor/actress has passed away and they aren’t recasting.
The lady who played Elaine sadly passed away in 1987.

Repeats already in December 1996. Not long until Janice Battersby debuts. She debuted several months prior to the rest of the rabble.

August 1999. Jacks having a heart bypass. The eclipse, Toyah and Spider get it on at the Red Rec.
Did they adjust Toyah’s age? Cos by my maths she was 17 and 3 months when they did it, but people are acting like she’s jailbait?!

In regards to classic EE, we will soon see the exit of Grant and the bequeathing of his nasty personality to Phil. When they first arrived in early 1990 they seemed nice and cheery but they were getting more menacing and dodgy by the end of the year but 1991 was when it all kicked off and both were hardmen types, just Phil was the lesser thug of the two and a bit more thoughtful and neighbourly, whereas Grant was just nasty and malicious. Phil still had a violent and menacing streak but was not just a thug like Grant was. In late 1999/2000 Phil took on Grant's nasty ways forever.

I’ve missed loads due to my HDD recorder playing up. I think after 10 years it’s giving up the ghost.
Ravi has been and gone. Enter Dev. I’d forgotten that they’d sacked the late Saeed Jaffrey for being arrested and being drunk.
My god, most of the cast would be gone today for that criteria!
Corrie starting to feel closer to the show we have now, but still some of its comic 80s elements remain. You can see why it’s lost 8-9 million viewers since the Millennium.

Same for Emmerdale and Easties, they have lost many millions since 2001-2002. Neighbours and Home And Away's heyday dropped like a stone in 1996-1997. In 1994 they were getting about 15-17 million, by 1997 it was a mere 8 or 9 million.
