Wally Tanner being born in 1895 would make him the same age as Albert Tatlock and I think that is pretty spot on, George Betton played Wally and he was born in 1896.
Also Elsie's sister was Fay Butler and new mum Faye Windass' birth name is Butler....

I am sure there is some record somewhere of more relatives of Corrie characters. In the episodes I have I have come across loads of uncles or aunts of characters, all helps.
Stan Ogden was an only child and I often wonder what his mother Mary's maiden surname was. There may be a ref somewhere in a 1960s or 1970s episode not repeated since the original broadcast or a maternal uncle who was mentioned by his full name. Jerry Booth's uncle Sam Leach was a character in 1962 and was the brother of Jezza's mother so we got his mums maiden name.
Fay Butler was born about 1925. Born Fay Tanner, she wed a Mr Bailey then a Mr Butler and had 2 sons.

I watching some old episodes of Corrie last night from 1978 where poor Ernie Bishop died. Emily`s sister Nora Sedden came to Ernies funeral. Emily`s sister seemed like a right snooty article, so it made me wonder if she was a distant relative of Sally Websters nee Sedden. Especially now that Sally has put on so many airs and graces LOL
There was no mention of Emily`s other sister Freda though.

I rewatched some 2000 episodes and Bernard Cartwright, Fred Elliott's grandfather was from a family who ran shops in Cartwright Street and in 1897 he killed his wife for having an affair. He had 2 sons who died. Seems there were several Cartwright's in the area. And as said Kevin Webster's mother's maiden name is Cartwright, Alison Cartwright. Maybe Bernard had a brother who had a son who had Alison, making Fred and Alison second cousins. In Corrie, anything is possible.

I recall that Norris took an instant dislike to her. But that`s nasty Norris`s nature anyway.

On my Corrie wiki I have even started creating stub articles for episodes using TV Rage. Instead of the full "Episode 299 23rd October 1963" title for example I just add Ep 299 - 23 Oct 1963. It is much easier and quicker, saves me writing long titles out when my priority is getting the pages up on the wiki. That way I can have my very own episode by episode pages. I have done the same on my Emmerdale and Neighbours wikis.

I am now up to episode 2001 in June 1980. Created stub articles for every ep up to then. Just 6300 episodes to go but any 1 day that showed 2 episodes I shall add "Ep 6384/6385 20 May 2015" for example.

I am now up to July 2007 with the episode by episode pages. It is a mammoth task but I am nearing the end of the task then can work on summaries. My own database of Corrie episodes.

It must be a true labour of love for you CAEF. I hope by the time you reach the Stuart Blackburn era, he will have gone.

All completed. Done pages for every episode up to date. Taken me a lot of man hours but done it, I now have my very own database of Corrie episodes to treasure. I can then work on summaries and add more character pages and info.

Betty Turpin/Williams maiden name was Preston....the same surname as Tracey Langton/Barlow`s first husband. And he`s coming back soon. I thought that, Betty's father was Harold Preston. Robert Preston's father was Maurice Preston, but Robert was born 50 years after Betty so maybe Harold Preston was Maurice's uncle, Robert's grandfather was a brother of Harold perhaps. Meaning Robert is a second cousin of Gordon Clegg.

Apparently Albert Tatlock had an uncle called Horace Duckworth who lived to 84. Duckworth hey? What was Vera`s maiden name CAEF? I recall Vera`s mother was in Corrie for a brief time, but can`t remember her surname. Actually I can`t remember her first name either, but I do recall she was a battleaxe.

Vera's mum was Amy Burton. Horace Duckworth, possibly related to Jack. Horace may have been an uncle by marriage to Albert though, maybe he wed his mother's sister. Hozza Duckworth was probably born in about 1860 so may be the brother of Jack's great grandfather.
