Fred Elliott's mother was Amelia Elliott nee Cartwright and her dad was Bernard Cartwright. Bill Webster was married to Alison Webster nee Cartwright. Maybe Kevin Webster is related to Fred through the Cartwright line.
We found that Horrible Eileen is a first cousin once removed of Elsie Tanner.
Could Ronnie Clegg, Toyah's dad be a great nephew of Les Clegg?
In 1990 a rowdy pensioner was called Mrs Battersby. Maybe Betty Battersby, mother of Les?

Hilda Ogden's maiden name is Crabtree. We had a factory worker called Kelly Crabtree who appeared a few years ago. I know she was black, but I am sure she had adopted parents.

I have added some of this info to Corriepedia but I have also started my own Corrie wiki as I wanted to do my own styles and character pages as well as ones for unseen characters.

What about the surnames? I don't think they accept that.
You mind giving me a link to your wiki?

That way I can add any info on uncles/aunts that are often mentioned in old episodes and current ones but not yet on Corriepedia or Wikipedia. Ray Langton had an uncle Sydney and Stan had an uncle Edwin and cousin Edwin.
If they did show 1960-1976 episodes in full we would probably gets lots of info on characters not yet put online anywhere. Most pre 1976 episodes are not on DVD or be rerun since their original broadcast. Of course the ones released are 8 episodes from each year plus a few other ones.

There is also the fact that the other Corriepedia is full of really annoying people.

There is also the fact that the other Corriepedia is full of really annoying people. You mean the main Corriepedia? If so then I would agree there. I have sometimes submitted info or created pages with layouts only for it to get totally modified by the admins.

I joined and within minutes got a ranty message about not writing in code (I don't do code) I brushed it off and very kindly found them a good exterior image of Izzy's adapted house at Grayling Street. Which they spent an hour fiddling about with!
I've not been back since.

Which they spent an hour fiddling about with! I've not been back since. I offered to upload a photo I took of the viaduct which the first Corrie set was built near to and the admin said he does not want pages to have before and after shots. I thought, sod you then, I offer my services and get it thrown back at me. In the end I set up my own Corrie wiki where I can add info to my hearts content.

That mad jock with the glass-eye Tony, his surname was "Gordon."
The same as Rita's bottle of gin.

A lot of the info on my Corrie Past And Present Wiki is from watching the show, old episodes and my Corrie books such as Weatherfield Life and Around The Houses.
I even add rough dates of births of unseen characters or characters where their DOB was never given even if they were given an age range. Wally Tanner was seen in 1966 to 1968 and I estimate he was born about 1895 if he fathered Arnold Tanner in 1919, father of Dennis and Linda. I am also creating pages for off set locations and Weatherfield itself.

I enjoy the history of Coronation Street, character's backstories, "life" before the show began. I also enjoy the references characters make now and again concerning past characters and past stories and events.
