If Alan Bradley died today in front of a tram we would see blood everywhere.
If Hilda Ogden left today aged 94 the party would be rocked by a huge massacre in the street.

Turning Pat Phelan into a murderer and killing off Andy Carver. I preferred Phelan around 2013 to 2016 when he was a conman getting up to no good.
Martha Longhurst's axing is also one frequently brought up. I also felt bad for Frank Pemberton (Frank Barlow's actor) as he suffered serious health issues after being axed from the show, and was unable to return full time after a test run in 1967. Not that I would want to put that on producer Tim Aspinall as that would be unfair.

Whilst I don’t like the hyped up way Phelan has been turned into a mass murderer when basically he was just a dodgy builder with a roving eye.
What I have liked is the way the actor has fleshed out the part and will happily talk about Phelan to the press. He’s absolutely right when he talks about moral compasses. All the best Corrie baddies have had their own skewed moral compass and have always believed they are doing the right thing for the right reasons.
