My main one is publically getting rid of Alf Roberts. He was so heartbroken and humiliated that he died a few months later. Corrie was his life, and they knew it. Sure he was ill, but he still wanted to carry on - even in a minor role. That`s how professional Bryan Mosley was. Then there was the time they got rid of Derek Wilton. And in doing so, they got rid of Mavis too. Maybe that was their intention all along knowing Thelma Barlow didn`t want to stay after Peter Baldwin left. Bringing in the Battersbys. Apart from Leanne, I loathed them. Hmm maybe I should start some threads with other soaps too. My grudge bank does need emptying so I can replenish it with other grudges.

Thelma was cross at the time, in an interview she said, she had told the prodcuers she wanted to leave. It would have made more sense to kill off Mavis and keep Derek in the show as Peter did not want to leave. Thelma had told the producers that when she left she had no intentions of coming back, so why did they not do that. I know a lot of people liked Brian Parks and thought he was a good prodcuer, a breath of fresh air and brought many changes, but i could not stand him, infact i disliked him more than Kate Oates and Stuart The Hat Blackburn. Imo this was when CS changed and it has never had quite the same feel for me since.

Getting rid of Percy Sugden.
Bringing in the rowdy Battersby's.

He also put Jim in a wheelchair and Jim became very obnoxious and said "I need a potty to go to the toilet". Such racy dialogue never took place in Corrie before.

Brian Park was one of the worst producers in Corrie. Not the worst - that honour goes to Stuart Blackburn.
He was so arrogant as producer he even crafted the cult Nirab name from an anagram of his name. And that cult storyline with Zoe Tattersall was one of the worst storylines in Corrie. I bet to this day Joanne Froggatt still cringes that she was a part of it. It wouldn`t surprise me if she left off her time at Corrie on her CV because of it. Well it certainly hsn`t damaged her career thank goodness. That`s probably in spite of her time in Corrie - not because of it.

Brian Park was an asshole. He axed Percy and Derek and I think he hoped Mavis would quit. Similar to killing off Joe Sugden in Emmerdale. A very spiteful decision.

Stuart Blackburn for axing Dennis Tanner. Oh yeah, and turning Rob Donovan into a murderer.

Thanks Nate for reminding me about Dennis Tanner. Yeah Jabba the Hat was despicable wasn`t he. Dennis Tanner was Corrie Royalty in my opinion, and to get rid of such an iconic character had me seething with anger. Seething aye. So it seems Jabba the Hat is back at Emmerdale now working on scripts - and it shows.

Yes, it seemed like such a waste of time bringing him back just for Blackburn to axe him. And it is unlikely Lowrie will ever return as I think the axing did upset him, terrible treatment of an original character created by Tony Warren. The worst part was Blackburn trying to justify Dennis' poor exit by bringing up the fact he was a bad boy for the first few episodes of the show, even though he wasn't villainous for the remainder of his original run.

The show really messed up with Dennis, I would have introduced a son and had him be the original concept for Dennis which was a villain. Sort of paying homage to Tony Warren in a way. And yeah Rob is one of my favs so I was pissed what they did with him, and they must regret it to keep bringing him back.

It is like they justify every modern day disaster and violent death by referring to "Ernie Bishop was shot dead in 1978". The 1978 incident was shocking and was a time when murders were rare and it was an isolated event.
I shall never forgive Blackturd for axing Dennis. Philip Lowrie is almost 82 now so I am not sure he would come back or want to.

Jabba the Hat couldn`t even give Dennis a decent send off either. Sleeping with Eva`s Gran FFS? What an insult to Dennis Tanners legacy. Jabba the Hat should hang his head in shame.

And while I think about it - Gloria was another character ruined by Jabba the Hat. No wonder the brilliant Sue Johnston wanted to leave. Corrie was a massive waste of her amazing talent.
Just when I think my grudge bank was getting empty, along cames Nate reminding me about Jabba the Hat. So now my grudge bank is bursting at the seams now - kinda like Jabba the Hat`s many suits. *cough*ugly fat baztid*cough*

It is like they justify every modern day disaster and violent death by referring to "Ernie Bishop was shot dead in 1978". The 1978 incident was shocking and was a time when murders were rare and it was an isolated event. Plus they felt more realistic, like Brian Tilsley's stabbing. Nowadays Brian's killer would be a regular character lurking around the street for years and bumping off a couple more characters before finally being caught. Plus they would make the stabbing as grim as possible, Brian wouldn't simply be stabbed, he'd be slowly tortured to death whilst the murderer laughs in his face and taunts him. Same with Ernie, he wouldn't just have been shot, he would be held hostage for several episodes as part of the special Britain Got Talent live week, and then blown apart with a shotgun in gory detail.
