Take a look at Shona McGarty (@shonabm): twitter.com/ShonaBM?s=09I think she's leaving.. Whenever cast members have joined twitter without bbc reference or removed reference and promoted instead their agents contact details they've nearly alway turned out to be leaving. Happened with Matt Lapinskas, Chunky Venn, Meryl Fernandes, Khali Best and so on Goodbye Whitney? Lazy writers for a character they don't value and try and make work or a characters natural conclusion?

Winston and Tracey the Barmaid get more screentime than Whitney these days, so it wouldn't shock me if she was leaving.

She is obviously a Beaches fan as her dog is called CeCe Bloom.
Cannot say I am that bothered tbh. The character has never had any real development, she was sexually abused and craves male company as a result. So basically a younger, less interesting Kat.
My only concern is where does that leave Lyndsey...

I was never a fan of the character. She is like Kat Slater 2.0 and just as repetitive. Unfortunately, she's not as good a character as Kat. It's a shame the writers can't think of anything for her besides sexual abuse storylines.

I think it's likely indeed very likely That Lindsay and indeed Patsys departures combined are the likely underpinning factor behind these developments with James Forde and Shona.

If so, then I would say it's a bit harsh on the actress as she didn't get the chance by DTC. But probably is the right decision. If the writers have really run out of ideas for Whitney, then they should axe her. No point keeping her on the show as a spare part to have the odd drink with Stacey.

Well Lyndsey would still have Max, Abi, Sonia, Martin and Rebecca to interact with. It's just odd that first James and possibly Shona are leaving. I think Lyndsey only likes being at EE when she can work with her sister in law.

Shona could easily have a singing career if she left Walford, I hear cruise ships are always looking for new talent

I don't think presently that Liam would be viable if Carol was leaving -Hence why I think Lindsay has handed her notice in and then dtc decided some of the others in the Butchers household were untenable or thought it was a good time to let them go. I wonder if they'll all leave together?

I'll never vote UKIP even if they offered to pay me a billion pounds... okay maybe I would . I haven't read the entire thread yet, but I'm guessing you like Whitney? What kind of storylines would you have liked to have seen Whitney get her teeth into?
