Anybody watched Dr Who this evening?
Jodie Whittaker made a promising start, the story was a bit naff but some great performances, i can see Bradley Walsh being funny.
I like the humour in the show, can't wait to see the new Tardis.

Finally got to watch Dr Who last night. I agree that Jodie Whittaker is off to a great start, & I also liked the humour. Things are looking promising for the new season!

Seen the first two so far and it's so far so good from me. Jodie Whittaker is doing great but I hate her new outfit, or at least the trousers! Love the custard cream dispenser on the new tardis Only thing I would say is that having 3 assistants might be a bit of overkill?

Dr Who last night was superb, powerful, engaging and a thought provoking episode. As a Dr Who fan, one of the best episodes I have seen in a while. It worked so well because it was so not Dr Who.

Another good episode last night, probably the weakest of the series so far, but so much better than the last series with Peter Capaldi.

I watched the spider one on Saturday night (I leave it to watch on sat as I can't get used to watching it on a sunday!) and as someone who hates is absolutely bloody terrified of spiders you can imagine I loved every minute of it It was a good episode though, even if it did nearly give me nightmares and I was all for the Chris Noth characters shooting the blighter lol! Enjoying the new series, the sidekicks are bedding in well and am enjoying Jodie as the new Doc. At least the storylines are easier to follow this series.

I'm liking Jodie Whittaker as Dr Who. I wasn't sure if the hardcore fans would accept her, but she's really hit the ground running and people have taken an instant liking to her charming performances.
I'm usually not in favour of changing iconic male heroes, like James Bond and Indiana Jones, into women because I don't think it'd work and I prefer we created new female characters to cater for the demand for more strong heroines in film and TV. But I think the idea of a female Dr Who is interesting and fresh because of the nifty concept of Regeneration and the idea that the Doctor is reborn into a new body each time he "dies".
Only watched the first episode so far. The episode itself was decent, easy to follow but a bit generic - but I think that was the point. It was a decent back-to-basics Doctor Who episode. Looking forward to watching the new episodes later in the week.

Haven't really been enjoying this series to be honest, and don't find Jodie that great. But each to their own.

I just watched the new year Dr Who episode & thought it was great - a Dalek returns!

I like how the Daleks have evolved through the years from being these silly killer robots who couldn't climb a simple flight of stairs to now being these sophisticated drone-like robots who can fly and blow up anything in their way! It was cool when the Dalek blew open the GCHQ roof and flew down!
