I watched the first in the series and the 2nd but switched off afterwards as much of the show is little to do with Emmerdale and more about the residents of Esholt, a former location that the show has not been used for 21 years (apart from the Ashley dementia scene 2 years ago). I love Esholt but if I wanted to know the history I'd google it and look on Ancestry.
I'd rather this had been a prequel set in Beckindale in 1918.

I've recorded it... But just like you I thought it might be more character based... So I don't think it will get the time of day... I'll probably dump it when I'm making room for Chrimbo...

Emmerdale was filmed in Esholt for 20 years and the village now was a copy of Esholt

Thanks for mentioning this show CAEF. I just watched the first episode on itv, and I really loved it. I`m getting ready to watch the second one now. How wonderful it was to see 'Ashley Thomas' again. One little quibble though.... it would have been better if they had a decent narrator. 'Dough Potts' sounds bored to tears. Paul wasisname who played Charity's Dad would've been much better IMO.
