I series-linked Wanderlust (to my shame, I deleted this twenty mins into part one), and thought about deleting 'Press' too.
Then, I remembered Wallis, Miss BBC, and why I trusted her in the first place. If Wallis says it's good, then it is.
Really hated Wanderlust, but liked Press very much.
Plus Charlotte Riley is one of those girls I mentioned; not overly attractive, but really interesting to look at. I've really liked her ever since I saw her in Miss Marple.
Upshot is, I liked Press - but thought the second three eps weren't as gripping as the first three.

I thought it okay and it did give a bit of an insight into newspaper journalism which is pretty shameful at times.
I actually watched Wanderlust through to the bitter end and wished I hadn't.

Thoroughly enjoyed Press. Didn't even bother with Wanderlust, thought that sounded crap, middle-aged middle-classes trying to spice up their sex life *yawn* It was also trailed to death which put me off it.
But Press? Great. Well acted, not normally a massive fan of Ben Chaplin but thoroughly enjoyed him in this, his character was one that I sympathised with over his son but hated him much of the rest of the time lol! And of course Charlotte Riley is always worth a watch, she played the earnest, more ethical reporter very well.
I have no idea how realistic it was but I don't care!
But it ended on a sort of cliffhanger, I hope there's a second series but I apparently it didn't rate that well so probably not unfortunately.

I agree Lotty, a great final ep. Ben Chaplin was superb, was he meant to be a younger Piers Morgan i wonder? Charlotte Riley was excellent, a good twist at the end. I hope we get a 2nd series, but don't get your hopes up, it bombed in the ratings not getting over 2 million.

I really enjoyed this, I thought it was pretty good once you gave it a chance.
The lead roles (him out of Game On) and her with the sexy eyes were terrific. Even though it was advertised as starring the brilliant David Suchet, it was the two mentioned who carried it.
I really enjoyed it.
