I agree Lou, the 1st ep was excellent, a difficult subject. A great cast, Anna Friel always delivers. Good to see Emmett J Scanlan on our screens again.

Again, I've recorded this - I'd like to know what Wallis thinks before I waste my time watching it?

I don't want to waste three hours watching this when I have a trusted sage like yourself who speaks only the truth.

Second episode under the belt and although it is probably a difficult subject matter for some macho men (the father in this included) it is a fact of life in current times. Nature does play some evil games.

I thought the ending a bit twee TBH.

I agree Wallis, I thought the ending was rushed. They could have stretched it out to a 4th episode. However it has been a good 3 parter and Anna Friel was excellent and it was nice to see Alison Steadman in a cameo role.

Just watched the first episode, I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. I like the sister and how she's so accepting of her sibling. Can understand both parents bewilderment! The father losing s son angle is quite sad, can see how he might feel bereaved for a while, if he ever comes to terms with it - which I'm sure this fella will in the end.

Ended up watching all three of these last night. I agree that the ending was twee, all tied up with a big metaphorical bow on top! I also agree that this was one of those rare dramas that could have been stretched into a forth episode (unlike Strangers which was stretched out more than my granny's old knicker elastic!).
But it was a decent watch with on the whole excellent performances especially the boy who played Maxine, Anna Friel (as per) and a brilliantly acerbic Alison Steadman. Emmett Scanlan wasn't shabby either, nor the lass who played the sister.
And it was definitely a different subject matter.

It won't survive long in what's left of Uncle Q's memory, but it was a few hours of decent entertainment none-the-less. I find there are only two options in life ... take Wallis's advice ... or don't. Don't come crying to me if you took the second option and have been run over whilst wearing dirty underpants.

Did you watch 'Killing Eve' Unk? If not get yourself on to iPlayer cause I'm sure you will enjoy.
