aussielad has got me so hooked on this show. So hooked in fact that I watched all 3 seasons (10 eps in each) in less than a week lol. It does have a certain '800 Words' feel to it with various characters scattered among the main cast. And the scenery is gorgeous. I would love to live there on the farm. Here`s what its about..... The only one I recognise from the cast is Tina Bersill who played Sonia Stevens in PCBH. She plays the doctors Mother Meryl and is a brilliant character. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doctor_Doctor_(Australian_TV_series)

I just knew that you would love this show Wendy. And I am glad that you mentioned the '800 Words feel' as I think that anyone who loved 800 Words would also love this show. I highly recommend it.

Debbie always reminded me of Debra Lawrence, but much nicer ...and dare I say it - a better actress too. I liked Ken from the first episode - he`s an excellent character. So when is season 4 available now aussielad? I know that season 3 just finished, so I`m kind of anxious LOL

I know that season 3 just finished, so I`m kind of anxious LOLI know that it was renewed for the 4th season only recently, so I gather they haven't done any filming for that yet. Together with the 3rd season having only just been aired, I gather that would mean unfortunately we will not get to see it again until the second half of next year (but you never know!). A bit of trivia for you Wendy. Hayley McElhinney who plays Penny in Doctor, Doctor is the sister of Mandy McElhinney who plays the hospital Matron in Love Child (the other show I mentioned to you).

I don't know about you aussielad, but Penny always reminded me of Tori in Home & Away. And you know how much I`ve always liked her. Is her new love interest the bloke who played Zac in H&A? They look very similar. That other love interest she had (name escapes me) reminded me of Ed Charles from PYC lol. I dunno why, but my VPN no longer lets me watch Australian shows. I had to watch the last 5 eps of 'Doctor Doctor' on another site. Was gutted about that because there`s some brilliant shows on channel 9 I`d liked to have watched (Love Child which I loved the 1st episode of) - as well as 'Packed To The Rafters' on TV7 Plus. And PTTR is ending soon. I did manage to watch some eps of 'Always Greener' on another site, so it's not all bad.

Sounds good, this drama would fit neatly into BBC daytime, I hope they buy it and show it at some point.

No it isn't the guy who played Zac (Charlie Clausen) in H&A. Hayley/Penny's new love interest in Doctor Doctor is an excellent actor named Don Hany who has been in a number of Aust TV shows/movies (including Offspring, White Collar Blue & East West 101). Yes, Penny does remind me of Tori in H&A. Just on Penny McNamee who plays Tori, she recently announced that after a battle with fertility issues, she is expecting her 2nd child, due in March next year. As you know, Tori is currently in an IVF storyline on H&A. This storyline was coincidently written obviously a while back & the current scenes were filmed about 6 months ago, before she was pregnant, so it will be interesting to see if/how they try & incorporate her real life pregnancy into the show. Checkout these recent articles: www.digitalspy.com/soaps/home-and-away/news/a868715/home-and-away-penny-mcnamee-tori-morgan-pregnancy-storyline/www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-6289289/Penny-McNamee-35-flaunts-pregnancy-curves-colourful-maxi-dress.htmlThanks for those links aussielad. Congratulations to Penny. I hope they do incorporate her real life pregnancy into the show. Although it will be hard to explain her real maternity leave lol.

Argh I keep forgetting to mention it aussielad. Now that I remember I`ll say it now. Channel 9 used to show my fave Australian soap of them all...'The Sullivans'. I recognise the logo from when I used to watch it.

The MegaMillians lottery is up to over a billion bucks. If I get a sniff of some numbers, I am so going to Australia to visit Ash Park, the setting for APTCH, and the farm setting for Doctor Doctor.

Fingers crossed for you Wendy!! Good luck. You know that “Ash Park” is not far from my place. Doctor Doctor is set in the NSW country town of Mudgee, which is about 260 kilometres north west of Sydney. So only a few hours drive away... (PS. I loved “The Sullivan’s” back in the day)

I must admit I haven’t seen it on free to air tv here for some years, but I will keep my eye out for you (is it on any streaming sites?).
