Paul Robinson is treated the way Phil Mitchell and Cain Dingle are - totally 100% untouchable and invincible. All 3 men would survive a nuclear holocaust.

Neighbours was a much better show back then, not the doom and gloom of 2021 with baby swaps and villains.

I enjoyed the finale on 5, very sugary and sentimental, very Neighbours, but it has ended on a high, many happy memories, some great clips. Loved how they had Madge and Doug in the final scenes. A lovely monologue by Susan at the end and the original Barry Crocker theme. They have done the fans proud.

Neighbours was a much better show back then, not the doom and gloom of 2021 with baby swaps and villains. Awful lot of box ticking these days. A whole scene the other day about people questioning their sexuality because they find themselves wanting to snog the face off their best mate and eventually grind them down into having a same sex relationship with them. In real life that wouldn’t happen. They’d probably report you to the police! Also, what the hell happened to Jacinta Stapleton, unrecognisable as Amy. No mention of Lance, whom she treated like dirt. Philip Martin randomly appearing at the reception with no dialogue and without mention of Ruth. Channel 5 had to have the last word didn’t they, editing 5 minutes from the finale so they could shoehorn in more naff adverts plugging Home and Away. They killed the wrong soap IMO

They killed the wrong soap IMO I agree totally without a doubt. Neighbours rates higher in the UK, infact Home and Away is the lowest rated soap in the UK coming in seventh place behind Hollyoaks. Neighbours rated over a million viewers on 5 adding both lunchtime and evening, which is good for the channel, although a far cry from when it was on the BBC. I think at it's lowest on BBC One, one episode was getting well over 3 million, but 5 were never going to mirror that. 5 would have jumped at the chance to kill Home and Away and keep Neighbours if they could. 5 are tied into a lifetime deal with 7 who make Home and Away, the only way Home and Away will end on 5 is when 7 cancel it. I blame 10 in Australia for demoting Neighbours to their digital channel. Neighbours lost more viewers in Australia and never recovered. Having to rely on UK funding to keep the show going is not the way to go.

They killed the wrong soap IMO Yes, Neighbours has become very woke in recent years, like Emmerdale, with about half the characters being LGBT. It is the same as this women's football being rammed down our throats, just virtue signalling at it's best. Also it has generated some very dumb comments from white knight men and misandrist women on Facebook saying "It is better than men's any day". Pfft. Yet if you say the truth, that it is nowhere near the same league as mens, you get accused of being a sexist.

Can’t work out how someone, who was allegedly so very ill with Covid March 2020, won’t have the vaccines bit more than that, kicks off at people who have chosen to have the jabs.
What she doesn’t realise is that Izzy’s was the better storyline and a stronger link to Karl via the child they had together.

There are some who still think the show will return one day. Not a hope in hell. They need to get over themselves, accept it and move on.

It was the same when Brookside ended, there were stories and rumours all over the place that it would carry on in some other format, seem to recall some mad idea about it being streamed online twice a a week?
I suppose because Neighbours came back in 1986 when it was axed by Seven and picked up by Ten and because here in the UK, they got Crossroads and Birds of a Feather back after several years out of production (however as of 2022 both are firmly ex-shows!) people believe anything can come back.

The picking up of the show by Ten in 1986 is a totally different kettle of fish to the 2022 axing. You cannot pin any small hopes of a return based on something that took place almost 40 years ago, and during a totally different time for TV.
95% of defunct shows never return.
Brookside has been out of production for almost 20 years and I cannot ever see that show return. I thought the close was demolished in its final episode.
