On the fence about the episode, Susan had a secret, at least it was not that she had a secret lovechild or that either Mal, Libby or Billy was Jim Robinson's child. Knowing current Neighbours, anything is possible.
I wonder how the revival will last. Bezos may pull the plug once the hype has died down.

Time wise, they’ve confirmed it’s 2024 in Neighbours land but as we will only see 4 episodes a week and I *think* there’s a Christmas break, I think we will match up time wise eventually.
Something fairly big has occurred in the time lapse. Paul referenced it. Susan is coy about it. The wedding participants was a surprise to me.
No good at inserting spoilers so I’ll leave that to someone else! But that ending left me befuddled more than anything.
The new family seem ok. No axe murderers as yet.
Paul and Lucy haven’t changed much, she’s still the big boss and I suspect once they reference Rosemary’s passing (unless she was already deceased in canon during time lapse) she will become an even bigger boss.
Harold isn’t right. That’s clear to see.
Jane is up to something. She’s supposed to be the principal but she’s also off to the UK to see lover boy.
I was thrown by the Mangel photo in Harold’s old house so I presume Jane completed the sale on her place.
Maybe they should have done a longer first episode like the original Home and Away where things were established rather than trying to squeeze stuff into 24:52 plus we had two ad breaks which irritated me a bit!
So first impressions are ok but it wasn’t wowing me. Not sure how I feel about all the incidental music and the slo-mo bits, is that necessary?

Some are saying that the new Neighbours is not like the 1985-2022 show, so are basically calling it the 1993 "Emmerdale plane crash" moment for the show, or "Farm" being dropped from the shows title in 1989 moment.
