I watched this on iPlayer tonight. It was very hard to watch. What a huge stain in history this was. I`m looking forward to watching episode 2 tomorrow. While I was on iPlayer I watched a similar drama about Jamaican refugees in 1940`s England called 'Small Island'. I remember watching it about 10 years ago. I can't remember how it ended though, so am watching this two part drama again. www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00pdyh3/small-island-episode-1I noticed that Ruth Wilson from 'Mrs Wilson' is in it.

I enjoyed this 3 Part story adaptation and it was a tribute to all those lives who were lost in this sickening period in history.
Poor July, she was used and abused but managed to tell her story out through her son.

Enjoyed this although it was quite long. Did anyone recognise Lenny Henry in the first episode? He is not a bad actor.
