I`m so thrilled that 'Bohemian Rhapsody' came away with a few awards tonight - including Best Picture. I would`ve been tamping aye if Rami Malek came away empty handed like a lot in Hollywood hinted that he would. They say that the Golden Globes is the precursor to the Oscars, so I hope Rami and everyone else involved do well there too. www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-6563947/Julianne-Moore-defies-58-years-white-halter-Givenchy-gown-Golden-Globes.htmlIn your face Sacha Baron Cohen. If you hadn't been such a fecking know it all diva, those awards could`ve been yours instead of Rami's - who massively deserves every award going for his remarkable portrayal of Freddie Mercury.

Don't really follow the award shows much, especially the Hollywood ceremonies, but good to hear Rami Malek won Best Actor. He is a better actor than I realised!
I first watched him on a little TV series called "Mr Robot" when he was still relatively unknown to the wider public and I thought he was okay in that. So I was surprised to hear he got cast as Freddie Mercury because I thought they were gonna go with an A-List actor, but he seems to have absolutely nailed it as Freddie. Fair play to him.
Can't say I was upset about Baron Cohen getting booted off the movie... he's a bit of a numpty, isn't he?

Haven't seen the film yet so can't comment on that. From the clips I've seen it looks good though. But I am intrigued as to what Sacha Baron Cohen did to get booted off the film? I know that filming of the movie was delayed for years - did he have anything to do with that? Anyone got the goss?

SBC probably says something 'artistic differences' being the reason he left/was fired. Here`s a little snippet of gossip for you Lottz that sounds very credible... Here`s an old news article that goes into depth about it Lottz.... www.indiewire.com/2018/11/sacha-baron-cohen-freddie-mercury-movie-r-rated-homosexuality-1202017243/

I`m like you Lottz, and haven't seen the film yet. But I really want to see this as I`m such a massive fan of Queen, and have been since even before 'Bohemian Rhapsody' came out in 1975. Plus I`ve always been a huge fan of biopics anyway.
Another biopic I want to see is 'Stan And Ollie' about Laurel and Hardy. Steve Coogan plays Stan. I was never much of a Steve Coogan fan until I watched him in 'Philomena' with Judi Dench last year. Maybe watching this biopic of 'Stan & Ollie' will quell my life long fear of 'Laurel & Hardy' since my early childhood. Maybe I had a really bad nightmare of them as a kid because I honestly couldn't stand to watch them without feeling sick. And it wasn't just Laurel and Hardy - it was a lot of black and white comedy from the 20`s and 30`s....Harold Lloyd, Charlie Chaplin etc etc. And I must have conquered a lot of my fear since then as 'Chaplin' with the brilliant Robert Downey Junior is one of my most watched DVD`s.

Last September I got to watch the Olivia Newton John biopic 'Hopelessly Devoted To You'. Delta Goodrem who played Olivia was absolutely brilliant, and did a superb job of portraying Olivia.

I was just reading up on the Golden Globe winners... apparently the Brits did well! Richard Madden deservedly won Best TV Actor for Bodyguard! It's nice to see the show getting recognition over in the States. The BBC dramas in general seem to be getting a lot more recogition in recent years with shows like "The Night Manager" and "Killing Eve". Olivia Coleman won Best Actress. Christian Bale won Best Movie Actor for his portrayal of Dick Cheney and hilariously thanked Satan in his acceptance speech . It hasn't gone down well with Cheney's daughter who wasn't pleased with Bale for saying Satan inspired him to play Dick Cheney! I just watched it on YouTube and I thought it was funny! He was just kidding around! I mean Cheney is a pretty horrible human being to be fair...
