Starts Sunday on BBC 1. Wow I never realised just how many seasons there are already. Doesn't time fly. It don't seem that long since Nurse Jenny Lee arrived at Nonnatus House for the first time in the first episode does it. Getting ready to watch it now *rubs hands together in glee*

Yayyy my Sunday nights are full again... CTM, and 35 Awr (both on iPlayer).
Police Sergeant Woolf who fancies Nurse Phyllis Crane looks so much like my Pastor that they could be siblings. I hope he and Phyllis get married - they suit each other very well. I hope Trixie finds love this season. Ditto Nurse Anderson. I just love her accent.

It's an excellent one Wend, enjoy! Thanks Lottz....they seem to get better with each episode don't they. And that`s very rare these days - especially when its in their 8th season.

It was a good start to the 8th series. Triplets.

Used to really like Midwife, but have found the latest series (& the Chrimbo one) boring as heck. Gave up in ep2 on this.
Feels like they're kicking the arse out of a once good idea now.

I'm really enjoying it. I don't think it has lost anything and I am loving Miriam Margolyes., as always. Loved the triplets story .

I still watch it but to be honest I'm getting a bit pissed off with it too. It's the sugary niceness week after week that sticks in my craw. Everything usually resolves itself for the better and life is not like that at all. Maybe it's escapism to how folks wish life was like.

Brings home the heartbreak of illegal abortions too.

There was a girl not that long ago whose illegal abortion rendered her unable to conceive in the future. As Unk says they just seem to be churning it out now.

Be that as it may I still look forward to it. Yes, the same things happen over and over again but thatโs life. Itโs a bygone era which I enjoy and certainly more than constant crime and murder series. To me those are repetitive .

I did smile at Sister Monica Jones watching and enjoying Doctor Who. We must be on 1964 now?
