So who watched this brilliant drama tonight? It's been a long time coming and it didn't disappoint. Wonderful writing by Jed Mercurio.

Gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh couldn't watch it tonight as my mam is here (stays every sunday night) and I'd never hear it with her. She'd be tutting at the violence/language and nattering all the way through.
So I'll be catching up on Monday nights so I'm trying to avoid the online newspapers etc as I don't want to know what happened!

Brilliant. Absolutely bloomin' brilliant. I loved Bodyguard but honestly, it can't hold a candle to this programme IMO. So many twists and turns in just the one episode! And I gasped at the end! Jed Mercurio, you're a genius.

Mother Of God! Seeing Ted being interrogated by Carmichael sitting where he should be was painful and awful for him. He's definitely being framed and that ex-cop Moffat has something to do with it no doubt. Now he's in the slammer. There's more to Lisa I'm sure but she isn't giving anything away at the moment. Gill Bigelow is certainly hiding something too. Roll on the finale. They are slating the episode over on DS, quelle surprise.

Oh my word, there is no way Hastings is guilty. Anna Maxwell Martin was outstanding as Carmichael. My moneys on Gill- Polly Walker being bent. Also Sue Tully directed the episode.

I like Anna Maxwell Martin too, good actress, but I seem to just focus on her lisp.

Are fellow watchers aware that the character of Ryan (who passed his exams and now has to stay low from the OMG) is the same actor who played him in Series 1 as a 13 year old? Recruited by Tommy Hunter as a courier and low-level thief for the OCG – his chief role being to provide blackmailed individuals with untraceable burner phones, via which they'd receive instructions from Hunter. He also assisted in the kidnap and torture of Steve Arnott, even attempting to remove Arnott's fingers with a pair of bolt-cutters. Happily, Steve was rescued by DCI Tony Gates before Ryan could complete the grisly deed.
