I remmeber when Sons & Daughters was shown here in the Uk in the early 1990s.
I seem to remember Prisoner was once aired on UK TV, plus probably a couple of other Aussie soap, but they never made the huge impact that the 2 obvious Aussie soaps made. Yes Ramsay Street's and Summer Bay's soaps.

Sons and Daughters was shown in the mid 80's top CAEF....in the HTV region anyway. Our Mam used to take it when we were at work so we could watch it when we got home.

At the time Sons & Daughters was the biggey. I remember the first pilot episode airing on a Sunday afternoon on the newly formed ITV station in the midlands Central.

S&D used to be on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday afternoons in the HTV regions Holez. In the mid to late 90's it was on in the early evening before the 6pm news. The Sullivan's were on lunchtimes..not sure what days. Our Mam watched it religiously. It wasn't until the early 90's that I started watching it from the beginning on the Faith & Values channel here in the US.When the channel became the Hallmark channel - the Sullivan's disappeared from the lineup. I was gutted aye.

I doubt they ever got the UK figures that Neighbours and H&A got. In the early 1990s N and H&A got about 15 million. I suppose because they were younger, and had younger characters and fantastic locations.
