More of rumour than spoiler but the socials are suggesting Malandra is returning to Emmerdale. The celebrity agent Melanie Blake reporting one of her clients is back on TV and they sent her a massive bunch of WHITE ROSES to say thanks. White Rose of course being the emblem for Yorkshire.
Malandra was also seen in the Big TV Soap Quiz looking really well, another hint?
The suggestion being Kathy is back with Betty’s ashes, her dying wish to be scattered wherever Seth is buried, which if we remember is a secret location on Home Farm land known only to a few people.
The idea has legs and I hope it’s true.

Would be good, seeing as the show rarely brings back characters before 1994. But since Kim returned, we do have 2 characters from the 1980s around now, Kim and Eric. Kim managed to become a 1980s character by the skin of her teeth, first appearing in December 1989.
If Kathy did return, this means Eric would be demoted to character with the 2nd earliest appearance, as Kathy first appeared in November 1985. Also Kathy would be the only one who would vaguelly remember silent Walter who last appeared in Dec 1985, and Pat Sugden who died in mid 1986.

I don’t think Eric would mind the demotion, I think he’d like to see Kathy again, especially now he’s unwell. Kim and Kathy would be interesting, would they patch things up after Steve knocked Kathy down whilst stealing the horse, or would they re-open old wounds?

Kathy will remember Cain as well, and also Sam had a good friendship with her. Eric did get demoted a bit when Robert returned in 2014, as Turner died in 2013.
Ken got demoted in Corrie for over 3 years when Dennis returned. Although Dennis left a few episodes before Ken returned, thus meaning Corrie had no original characters for a few episodes. Neighbours and Emmerdale have gone for years with no originals, well Neighbours did for over 7 years from 1997 to 2004 when Paul returned.

Not another one! Do they have so many kids in ED so they can kill them off? This coming so close to the death of Heath is just overkill (literally ...) I dread to think the reactions we're going to get from Sam. Poor lad though, he's been on ED most of his young life and it will probably hit him hard. No chance of coming back either.

Why kill him off. The Dingles have got Zaks death to get through first. Why have Sam suffer the death of his father and son in quick succession.

Here's a thought, get rid off that Tom idiot numbnut instead. It hurts watching him struggle with acting.

Interesting to read this as on the far superior Classics of 20 years ago, Samson has not even been born yet. Kill off the dreadful Cain or the idiot Paddy is what I say, goodness knows why/how they have lasted this long.
