Watched the first two and am finding it quite riveting. Is he a gold digger or not? I'd say yes, what makes me think that is that he handled her kids at the introductory dinner like a pro, no sucking up to them but standing up to them with no sign of nerves like he's done it before. He even ate the oldest son's dessert which I found a bit odd, he doesn't know these people. But then again I kind of hope he's genuine just to piss off her sons lol! Don't like the younger one at all. The daughter is erratic but seems OK. What on earth has happened in the past because her oldest seems fixated on protecting his mother, with him I think there's more to the protection than just seeing his inheritance disappear. Her ex-husband is a creep and I see we have the usual sexism of the kids not being bothered that he's with someone who seems years younger than him Looking forward to watching the rest.

I’m with you, Lotty. I still don’t know if he is or he isn’t. I was a bit suspicious when he said “ You own a villa in Italy ?” How come they are so rich though. ? Has that been mentioned?

Sorry everyone. I thought as the whole series was available on box set it had already been shown.

Sorry everyone. I thought as the whole series was available on box set it had already been shown. Apology accepted BB. The BBC are doing this every once in a while with their Drama. Showing it weekly but also putting the whole series up on iPlayer. They recently did it with Giri/Haji and the last series of Killing Eve to name a few.

Well it was a happy ending and so glad that Ted got what he deserved, the loss of his precious children and probably his partner, Julia's best friend. The B-----d!

I enjoyed this too, although, I'd pretty much sussed it all out before the final ep, which is always a bugbear. I like to be surprised.
i.e. It was obvious he had taken the fall for the rogue brother, etc.
Alls I could think of afterwards, was, how the blazes do you get the train from Devon to Sunderland and back in a day??
I went to Sunderland in 1986 to see County at Roker Park in the FA Cup. We left Newport at 06:30 and missed the 3:00pm kick-off!
We didn't get home until Sunday night. It's a bastard of a journey.
