Anyone watching this? I remember the case well and I think Bamber is still languishing in prison despite many appeals. I thought it was quite good although too many ad breaks.

I am surprised that I donāt remember it. The only one on a farm that I remember is the one where the farmer shot dead an intruder and he was accused of murder. I think he was found guilty then later it was rescinded to manslaughter.
I canāt see how this one can be stretched over 6 episodes though.

I remember it and have recorded it. There's still controversy that he committed the murders.

I'm recording it and will watch it at some point... Wife isn't too keen so will have to wait for her to feck off oot or summat...
I don't remember it off hand... But will probably come to me as I start watching... Like LouP I remember the Tony Martin case well...
I was in a fight in Yates at the time with the bouncers... I got my head kicked in and when the police came they all ran back inside... I pressed charges but there was no further action...
In the police station the CID came down and actually threatened me with charges if I didn't drop the allegations... The bouncers had them in their pockets... I remember spouting off that this was just the same as the Tony Martin case... That they were all bent and it stank...
They actually looked a bit worried when I mentioned the case... And backed off... They then said they would look at the CCTV... Which conveniently was pointing the wrong way at the time...
Yeah right... Bootle Street nick in the City Centre... One of the most bent cop shops in the country...

I donāt remember it but my Mum does. I mainly watched it for all the retro cars weād be seeing. Thereās been some discussion online that itās morbid to make a drama production out of it but life does often imitate art so why not make a programme about it.
I genuinely donāt know if he did it or not, thereās plenty of āmudā for him to sling about to cast doubt and the police didnāt exactly do the investigation properly which also prevented the full truth from being known.
As well as Jeremy and his sister under suspicion, my money is also leaning towards their mother who seems rather obsessed with religion.

Roverman! We've been really worried but so glad to see you're back Anyway you'll have plenty to watch with the vehicles alone on this programme, I found them fascinating myself and strangely familiar as I was about 20 at around this time. As to the case I remember it well, the papers made quite a fuss because he was such a 'pretty' killer and so young. Despite his denials I also never gave a second thought to the fact that he was guilty, he just seemed 'off'. He was trying to sell naked pictures of his sister to the papers before he was arrested FGS, creepy, creepy man. I might read/watch more about it, apparently there's stuff of You Tube. The drama itself was OK but a bit slow IMO. And as much as I like Stephen Graham his welsh accent was all over the place! I'll stick with it but SIX parts?

Terrible of me but I forgot that another reason the press also covered it extensively was because he'd also murdered two innocent 6 year olds. That aspect was particularly horrifying.
Then when Sheila's history of mental health and their mother June's religious fervour was revealed it brought even more interest. It was just a cauldron of interesting facts including both the Bamber children being adopted but neither having a good relationship with their mother. They seemed to be a bit of a dysfunctional family.

This White House Farm thing was just a few miles from where many of my family live.
The Tony Martin case was in Norfolk, my home county. remember it well.

Seems mad watching it now to think police officers would burn evidence a few days after the incident.

In December 1984, in Great Yarmouth, my hometown, a 24 year old man was stabbed in the chest, fatally. His brother is annoyed that the police destroyed evidence and the killer is still at large 35 years later.
While no murders took place, in Great Yarmouth in 1995, there was a huge fire down one of the Rows in the town called Market Row which is a row similar to The Lanes in Brighton. The "Courts" furniture shop was razed to the ground and many surrounding historic buildings were also burnt to cinders. The police and forensics never found out the cause of the fire. Insurance job? Electrical fault? Who knows.

Seems mad watching it now to think police officers would burn evidence a few days after the incident. I think it was done so Bamber did not get 'upset'. The whole thing was bungled from the start with Taff the Incompetent.

Watching it with my jaw hitting the floor, not only at the way the 'Welsh' detective is behaving in not even listening to someone who knew Sheila very well and knew she wouldn't harm her kids but also them burning evidence because 'they were covered in blood'! FGS. Initially they swallowed Jeffrey's story hook, line and sinker. Glad, was it a cousin?, found the broken catch which meant that he could escape without having to use a door or another window he wouldn't have been able to lock again. Shows you what the investigation was like that they didn't even check things like that properly. No it was, Sheila's mad, she's done it. Weren't too sympathetic or understanding of mental problems/disorders back then.

Another howler:the Welsh detective referring to the telephone company as BT. In 1985 it was British Telecom and an older person might have even called them the GPO which was their name until 1981!

Yes it is like seeing someone with a smartphone in a film set in the Middle Ages.
