Anyone watching this with Francesa Annis and Imelda Staunton as the nutty neighbour?. Four episodes shown this week, Number 3 tonight. Recommended.

I'm watching and really enjoying so far. I'm thinking the culprit of the deed will not be Mary the neighbour as I think she is a bit of red herring.

I think it's great. I watched the first two last night and I've been completely drawn in.
I agree, I also think that Mary's a bit too obvious. But she certainly lives her life vicariously through her neighbours.
And I'm still not sure about the new husband. Is he even a doctor? Does he even have a daughter? Hmmm.
Every character is interesting though having between them a myriad of problems!
Think I'll keep the last two to watch together, it'll drive me mad if I can't watch the forth straight after the third!

A good cast. Nice to see Sharon Small again. Is that bloke a Dr?

I would say he is a doctor but he doesn't seem to have a daughter unless that is another red herring. If someone had travelled to another Country to see you, surely you would find some time to meet with them even if was only for a coffee at the hospital where she allegedly works. I also think he is a bit miscast and seems a bit scruffy and bumbling rather than a man that would sweep someone off their feet. Its excellent though.

Didn’t one of the daughters say she had checked his credentials and he was a doctor. Yes he is very scruffy, I agree. He’d have to have a big cap to contain that unruly hair when operating. Bit of a wild guess but are we sure Vivienne is the body? Could it be him ? The phial of medicine is a bit obvious and heavy handed to throw us off the scent. It is going to be the most unlikely person, I think.

I don't find Dr Mark scruffy at all just casual and Stephen Rea's looking good for 73.
I know we've seen Mary, Jake and Natalie interviewed by the police, have we seen Helen?

Well I was a bit disappointed in that ending. They've all got Viv back where they want her but she suspects something isn't quite right and she's got it in one. Mark was genuine with a bona fide daughter in Spain and him waking up in the end says there might be a 2nd series. Do I particularly want there to be one, not really.

I quite liked the ending, naughty Mary. There could be a 2nd series? if the ratings are good.

That seems to be what a lot of people want these days. I suppose it keeps it fresh in their minds rather than waiting another week. I've loved Stephen Rea since The Crying Game way back in 1992.

It looks like its left open to be a 2nd series but I don't really like the trend for these, they are never as good IMO. I wont be watching Liar and I couldn't get into the 2nd series of Keeping Faith, despite really enjoying the first one. Sometimes they should be given a final ending and left at that.
Poor Vivien stuck with Kooky Mary who is more than an eccentric, she is an attempted murderess ; the way that family were just stuffing their faces with salmon with not a care in the world.

Russell Tovey did say in an interview that we might not like the children in this drama and he was spot on. How they could all sit round that table smiling and laughing. Says a lot about their own messed up relationships.
