Anyone got this? Got the option to have it free for 6 months being a BT customer, £5.99 thereafter.

I don't see the point of paying for repeats... Especially as they are censoring them... In case they offend the woke brigade...
And the BBC have got a cheek... Getting a portion of your subscription fee... While still demanding that every household pays for an outdated TV license...
It needs to be dragged into the 21st century... And either sell advertising space... Or go to a fully subscribed channel only...

We got a free 6 months with MrL's new mobile, we took them up on the offer as we were interested in the new Spitting Image. Well it turned out that S.I. was crap compared to the old ones (IMO) but I've watched a few other programmes so it hasn't been a waste of time and it came in invaluable at xmas when my mum was staying and like a lot of people with dementia she likes watching old stuff as her memory won't allow her to keep up with new programmes. However when our 6 months ends at the end of March we won't be renewing it. We already pay for Netflix and Amazon Prime and like Chas says above it does stick in the craw a bit paying for things we've already paid for! But there's quite a bit content from BBC, ITV, C4 and C5 and some exclusive content. Give it a go, it's free for 6 months, nothing to lose

Lots of old Corrie episodes, but I think many are from the DVD releases.

The BBC would need to have advertising as well. I would subscribe as I watch and listen to a fair amount of BBC content. However it would mean that if you have Freeview (which is how the majority of the UK get their TV) would not have access to BBC Television.

Britbox is a joint venture between the BBC and ITV. I would not pay for Britbox as some BBC classics are on Sky with Gold and Drama and a few ITV classics on ITV3.

Lots of old Corrie episodes, but I think many are from the DVD releases. Last time I checked most of them had Roy and Hayley. No thanks. Too many streaming services now, I already have Netflix and Disney+. Plus I own a majority of the old UK shows on boxsets. I wish Spitting Image was on the actual telly as there is F all to watch most of the time.

There is loads and loads of stuff on Britbox that I missed the first time around, the excellent Shetland and The Fall for example. Most full comedy series, Fawlty Towers that I still find funny even after seeing them 100 times, Midsummer Murders and Poirot which are always worth a second watch, which are all in episode and series order, not mish mash as they are shown on ITV3, and NO ADS! I think its pretty good and will even consider paying £5.99 a month for it when my free six months ends.

We’ve been given 6 months free (is anyone paying?!)
Loving the old episodes of Crossroads, Eldorado, Brookside, Corrie, Emmerdale et al
Also nice to see stuff like Boys from the Blackstuff which rarely gets a repeat viewing these days on mainstream channels.
Also managed to see Wild Bill which ITV showed in 2019 and I missed it.
I’m very impressed, just want to see more Crossroads and Brookside on there now!

I got another 3 months for £3, well worth it!
Watched The Beast Must Die (or WTTE). Enjoyed it on the whole, like all these things a bit daft in places but entertaining enough. The two leads Cush Jumbo and Jared Harris are always watchable IMO.
But yes I loved rewatching things like Happy Valley, Last Tango in Halifax, Doctor Foster etc. Must add Boys from the Blackstuff to my list and see how I feel about it now compared to when I was much younger and thought it was superb.

I rang to cancel mine after the 6 months free trial period and was hoping they would offer me this but it was Ok fine we will cancel it. . I I enjoyed it while I had it but I wouldn't pay £7.99 a month for it. I am hoping they are going to add Discovery Plus as its always being advertised and it shows the kind of rubbishy trash tv that I love.

They didn't offer it straight away bb, I had to wait about 3 months for this offer so hang on in there and keep checking your emails. MrL loves those trashy programmes too, must be a man thing lol! Mind I love 'Storage Hunters' and the restoration version that are on Quest.
