It has been good, Endeavour back this week. I struggled with Endeavour. I find it so boring. The characters, Endeavour and Thursday are so dull and lifeless and the story can be told in an hour, not two. Sorry love the show, it is so well crafted and perfectly cast. Quality. The best way to watch the likes of Vera and Endeavour is to record and watch later or watch 15 minutes in and cut out the ads. Speaking of Endeavour and Shaun Evans, Phew what a beautiful body he has in Vigil.

We always knew it would be political and that turns so many off but not me.

Agreed 1-somebody dies 2-Vera makes some catty comments and drives a Land Rover around “Geordieland” 3-Kenny does a lot of the legwork and gets almost no thanks (why is he still a DC taking order off student-aged Detective Sergeants?!) 4-some more sardonic words from Vera 5-end credits. You missed out Vera's conversation with the pathologist. Superbly played by the late Paul Ritter in the early episodes

That is why if ever they did a Midsomer Murders prequel, they may ruin Tom Barnaby, and say a young Barnaby touched up some of the female prisoners in the 1960s lol.
Prequels can totally ruin a show. Although Civvy Street was a good prequel to EastEnders. It was set over 40 years before the show began and it was made in 1988, a time when prequels did not rely of character assassinations to get ratings.
Vera is quite amusing when she is annoyed.

I still think this is one of the best things on the box. The Christmas episode was excellent. Love Brenda Blethen and her little gang.

It was very good, about time they did a crime on Vera’s home turf so to speak, loved the way Vera said to Aiden about not scratching her motor 🤣

I had read the book so I knew from the start the whole story and who the murderer was. They actually missed out a fair bit from the book.
