For me the glory days were pre Jabba the Hat
I had my doubts about Phil Collinson but he is a million times better than Jabba the Hat. He makes my skin crawl just by looking at him.
I know it`s not very nice commenting on someones looks, but he just makes me want to punch him in the face - repeatedly.

When Mike Baldwin (and later on Alma too) lived at the Quays.....how far was it from the Granada studios. I was wondering because Hilda Ogden used to clean Mikes flat, and was wondering if it was walking distance for her.
And I know it`s a bit cheeky to ask, but how much was the rent for Mikes flat in the 1980`s? I remember at the time that Manchester was going through a huge revamp in the 70`s and 80`s, so it must have been a pretty penny - even back then.

Mike's flat would have been one of the very early ones on the quays...
The ones that are falling apart right now...
I remember the swinging saloon doors he had in the kitchen...
I thought they were ace and ultra cool...
I made up my mind (at 12 years old) that when I got my own pad I was having those...
Never had them yet...
