Forgot to comment on Friday's episode. I take it Roy is phoning Swain on his hotline to tell her that Bobby is bullshitting? (seriously, where did that phone come from? Looked like it was in his cell lol!). Can't say I'll be too bothered about Bobby getting into trouble. So all this coding is making Leanne even more self-centred than she was already then?! Sorry Toyah, feck off with your misery And dodgy 'leader' was recording her rather white-washed history, he's so going to blackmail her with that when she comes to her senses and tries to leave. 'White-washed' because I seem to recall Janice being worried sick about her being a brass even chasing her down the street when she found out and Leanne was what my granny would have called 'a brass faced bitch' about it, bolshie and even rather proud with no regrets. Nothing about hating hands on her body then. Can't remember a lot of shame about setting fires at the time either, she was a bloody nightmare. Shame has obviously come later on when she became 'respectable'. Roll on tonight. Modern prisons have phones in the cells.

Nonsense with Tim and Steve, the rest was very watchable. The radio interview Amy did with Paul was good and I did smile when Paul said the F Word. Excellent scenes with Roy and Carla, David and Alison always deliver the goods. Radio stations have a few seconds delay to avoid that kind of thing. As a broadcaster this is a glaring error. Having said that, the interview was very deep meaning. Where were Roy's morals regarding Abi and the gun? Talk about picking and choosing. He and Carla have a far deeper relationship than Abi. His flashbacks are getting interesting.

I could be getting the timelines mixed up but didn't he bugger off to South America to do charity work for a while after he lied for Abi or was that after Hayley's suicide (something else he lied about) or something else entirely? Not saying it's easy for him but bloody hell, cutting off all contact with Carla after everything they've been through together? Bugger off Roy, get over yourself. Yes as I cannot stand Max I'm really hoping that Roy's flashback drops the little scrote in it somehow. He's been far too keen to point the finger at others ...

Roy always was a bit eccentric but in the 1990s and early to mid noughties he was nowhere near as oddball as he is now. He once had a personality and in the 1990s he drank whiskey quite a lot.

Cringeworthy dating scenes in the Rovers, what year is this 1990? Paul and Gemma's Dad is a good addition to the street. What secret does he know about Bernie? I liked the Mary and Roy scenes in hospital and Mary didn't give me a headache tonight which is a bonus.

Steve should think he's had a lucky escape from a woman who brings all her mates on a date! They're definitely playing on the 'bromance' angle with him and Tim, piling it on with a trowel - 'are you breaking up with me?' etc. It's mildly amusing but also a bit weird ... But Tim should have told Sally where to go, how controlling. He wasn't snogging the face off the woman or anything close. Way to go Paul daddy. Get your disabled son pissed as a fart but then bugger off when he starts puking Having said that though it must have been nice for Paul to be treated normally for a change. So Bernie's got some kind of secret. I'd be more surprised if she didn't.

If I was Tim I'd have banged Dawn's brains out... She'd have been walking like John Wayne for a week... Steve's bird was a proper munter... I actually thought it could have been his granny...

So Denny is real scum bag. No surprise there. Good they mentioned Dev's other child. A watchable episode tonight, light and shade and I could even bear Steve, Sally and Tim tonight.

Thinking about Amber, they've got the ideal opportunity to reintroduce her and give the viewers what they want to see. An incestuous lesbian relationship. I doubt her and Asha would recognise each other if they met on a night out. Would be good to see Devs face if he realised his daughters had slept together.

So what does Denny want, is he under the false impression that Paul must be loaded perhaps from his ... er ... sickness/disability benefits? I wish they hadn't piled it on with a trowel though to get through how bad he is e.g. when Asha told him which hospital Paul was going to and they had him saying 'what did she tell me that for?' instead of just having him shrugging and wandering off to get on with his day showing he didn't give a shit rather than having him saying it. At least Paul now knows that he's still a waster.
Adam and Alya. WTF?
Tim (mildly) told Sally off for try to control his friendships, good. Is she still besties with Gail? You'd never know it.

What has Alya ever done to warrant a high powered job in Dublin, all expenses paid? She worked as admin in Adam’s office. Suddenly she is being head hunted. Has anyone ever said what the job actually is?

Gary couldn't dump Liam quick enough to run after Sarah! THEN he ignored Maria's call, THEN when he did answer (and I don't know if he would have if Sarah hadn't encouraged him to) lied about where he was and who he was with. Yeah Gary, looks well innocent that Prat. He's sniffing round Sarah like a randy dog, don't care how innocent he tries to play it. Meanwhile Liam's filling himself full of diazepam and is sparked out on the floor! Poor kid, I'm glad that they're showing the aftermath of such vicious bullying. Bit convenient that this was the one time lately that Maria wasn't attached to her phone though ... Also a bit convenient that Glenda needs dosh just when they've found out that she should have inherited half the undertakers. Astounding timing, who'dhavethought? Can they not give Paul a break? Honestly, if something can go wrong for him it will and now they've foisted his dead-beat dad on him. What next for Weatherfield's most unlucky man? I'm almost looking forward to seeing what they can come up with lol!
