A small possibility, but it will not be like the current show is now.
A spin off idea, or a prequel would be good, but a revival may bomb like the Porridge and Crossroads revivals did. Even Only Fools And Horses was revived in 2001 and got a lot of backlash.

I think it’s the cost that would put off another production company. They use real houses for the outdoor Ramsay Street scenes and that costs money. I suspect all the owners will probably be modernising them now it’s off air (because they were all looking quite dated now) so there would be some continuity issues if the show came back next year and all the houses magically looked different.
I would have thought there might have been mileage in an Erinsborough/Lassiters spin off with a handful of legacy characters moving across. Erinsborough is meant to be a pretty large place so should be plenty of places to create storylines from. Lassiters is a global firm so again plenty of ways new storylines could be created.
However I don’t expect Channel 5 (UK) and Channel 10 (AUS) to be very helpful towards any spin offs, and I anticipate the physical stuff (backlot sets, studio “flats” etc to be destroyed or sold off in the near future.

Some of the deluded members of Neighboursfans and the Neighbours FB groups erroneously think a revival will happen. I can guarantee it will not. Neighbours as it is, is gone forever. A spin off is the best we will get. As you say Ch5 will not be helpful, and the sets may finally be burned.

Perhaps a one off reunion. I doubt anything else. C5 have come in for some unfair criticism. Without the BBC and C5 Neighbours would have ended years ago. The show was way too expensive. The ratings were good for daytime but the money C5 will save can be ploughed into home grown dramas in peak and that is how is how it should be. Home and Away will stay, even though it is the lowest rating soap in the UK, as 5 have a lifetime deal with the show that they cannot get out of and it costs a fraction of what they paid for Neighbours. Very sad Neighbours has come to an end, but they did the fans proud with the finale.

H&A was once a juggernaut on ITV in 1992-1994.
Neighbours was going to be axed in 1992. 30 years ago, but the BBC came to some agreement with Ten in Australia. But this time, the axe has well and truly fallen on the show. Sadly though, trying to drill that into some deluded fans is proving a problem.

Yes it was but was never in the same league as Neighbours on BBC One.
