I doubt Easties will go though, they spent too much on the new set. Neighbours was axed but returned on Amazon freevee. Also EastEnders have stopped the ratings decline and is now levelling out and the only soap up year on year.

Out of the Big 3 I feel Emmerdale will go first. It always seems to be the unloved sibling of CS and EE. The viewing figures are very low for Emmerdale now.

To be fair I don't think it will, simply because ITV could not survive without soap mid evening where as the BBC could. Emmerdale is ahead of EastEnders in the ratings but the gap is narrow now and I could see them being neck and neck in the consolidated ratings by the end of the year, but in the all important over night ratings which is vital for ITV's ad revenue Emmerdale 9/10 beats EastEnders which airs at the same time. EastEnders gains viewers when watching on alternative devices is added to the figure.

The BBC, not having the commercial pressures of ITV do not have to rely on ratings as much. EastEnders has a younger audience than the ITV soaps and with Hollyoaks in its final stages, EastEnders is tapping into that market successfully. EastEnders is the top soap when comes to streaming and it begs the question if one day, many years down the line if Corrie and Emmerdale will fail because ITV have not coaxed and transferred its viewers to the ITV streaming service, something they may come to regret.
