No doubt Zak will have a huge monument dedicated to him, while Annie Sugden got a small plant in the back of the Woolpack. The fate of Amos was never fully revealed but he was believed to have died by 2009 when Annie return for the last time.

Never had any beef with the character of Zak and Steve played him well over the years, a man who cultured friendships with all sorts of people, and often tried to smooth over troubles and had a strong set of ethics and values.
My issue has always been with the decisions made by successive producers to keep adding to the clan with ever more cousins and half siblings. The sheer amount of affairs and secret kids is beyond ridiculous now.
Maybe they should use Zak’s passing as a time to trim down the numbers, maybe send a few away to Connelton never to be seen again. They won’t be missed.
And then reintroduce legacy characters like Robert Sugden and his half sister Sandie Merrick. As an old sparring partner of Eric’s she’s well overdue a return. Kathy too if Malandra is well enough.

I always feel Zak became the new Seth, like Seth was the new Sam Pearson.
The Dingles worked well as a single family in the 1990s before the clan expanded tenfold in 2000 when Shadders, Cain and Charity arrived. Then Debola, Aaron, Chas plus more soon after.
