Did anyone else watch this on Ch5...? It was definitely an eye opener...
It was a documentary with actual CCTV footage of a bloke being domestically abused by his wife...
I did feel sorry for the guy and I know it's not the done thing... But I was willing him on to stand up and knock her spark out... She would have deserved it...

Well Humberside but I get you...
At the end it said he had moved away with his three daughters to a different part of the country... But it clearly shown him walking around Whitby... He's not going to be hard to find when she's released...

Women like that think they are being tough but they are just embarrassing themselves. Nagging, whining abusing. Richard the hubby should have stolen Jock Ewing's phrase from Dallas and said "Your place is the bedroom not the boardroom".

I couldn't believe what the bitch was doing, and in front of the kids too. 4 years for that! An absolute disgrace. IMO domestic violence is never treated as harshly in the court as stranger violence anyway regardless of gender but 4 years is an insult. But I'm sure that if a man did the same he'd have got longer. She's serving it in a soft open prison too and will be out soon. I really hope she can't wriggle her way back in with him because he does seem very vulnerable and I think he still loves her for some unfathomable reason

Radical feminists will disagree which is no surprise but female to male abuse is more rife than you think.

I haven't watched this but domestic abuse regardless of the sex of the abuser is shameful. The stats in the UK are for every three victims two are female and one is male. So the abusers are more male than female and that's a fact and nothing to do with feminism. I might give it a watch.

Your telly is worth more...

Thing is he couldn't really hit her or fight back because if she phoned the police we all know that HE would have been the one arrested. And she knew this as wasn't she shouting out of the window as if he was attacking her to set it up just in case?
He may also have thought that if he let her beat/abuse/insult/abusively shout at him she'd leave the kids alone?
My jaw is still dropping at 4 year sentence and she probably only got that because he had the wherewithal to secretly record her.

While not as bad as Richard experienced, I myself have been the victim of emotional and verbal abuse from a former gf which probably explains away my dislike for gobby harridan women, and probably hence why I find soap characters like Kat Slater unlikeable as she is gobby and raucous and looks like my ex.
In Corrie in the 1960s Ena Sharples had a dislike for Mr Swindley, and Emily Nugent thought she had that hate for him probably because he bore a facial resemblance to a cruel father or intolerant teacher and Ena Sharples was taking it out on an innocent person due to him resembling a hostile man from her past.
